I’m going to throw this out there and I know it’s an unpopular opinion but duck it. 😂

I think it’s unfair to hate Gemma for her screen time when she doesn’t control the edit. She’s had the screen time because:
- Davide went bleeping nuts at Luca taking her for a chat - and this is literally not her fault and I don’t understand why he didn’t get way more hate for this major red flag
- she was in many of the boys top 3
- the first bombshell coupled up with her
- she’s turned and gone for another boy that someone else was coupled up with, but Luca came and “grabbed her for a chat” not the other way round.
- all of these things are what makes the show interesting. There isn’t anything interesting going on with the other couples as they aren’t fighting within each other. She can’t help most of them.

I think she’s coming across as standoffish because she’s out of her depth and hyper aware she’s being filmed. She doesn’t want to do anything that upsets her Dad’s career.

I really hope her ex tells her to calm the duck down and loosen up so that we can get a chance to actually warm to her.

Also I think people probably do like her tbh… she’s got the most followers on Instagram by quite a long way. People are probably just scared to say they like her on Twitter 😂

Im not sure she’s my kind of person but I’m definitely glad someone like her is getting air time rather than last year where they picked Faye who was an utter bellend and ruined the vibe of the villa which made the whole series shite.

Would me and and your dad hold hands if i was scared? Does your dad kiss on a first date? What's your dad's favourite song? I'm so into you Gemma. On paper, your dad is like my ideal dad.

Will be interesting to see how she acts around her ex.
 
Is it just me who has never got into unseen bits. I hate it it's just the same storyline witb added bits, I would rather they made the daily shows half.jpie longer to include all the unseen bits footage and just had Saturday off.


Gemma is growing on me. I think like a few others have said she's very conscious of her actions impacting her family and its making her a but uptight.

I don't like tasha there's something off there, she defo fancies luca but is stringing Andrew along for now cos he is clearly very into her.

Aria is pointless at this stage she seems to be there for a holiday.

Effin sue is a totally different person to the one who came in, she's very meh. I think Davide actually liked Gemma and he's just making the best of things with effin Cos that's his only option.

I think luca might actually like Gemma, there is definitely chemistry there.

I wonder if this ex coming in is really an ex or is he someone she had a quick fling with or was talking to or something. Either way ex for a reason and I don't think she will get back with him I think she'll focus on luca now.
 
I wonder if it’s likely gemma was given intensive PR training before going in since her family has the means and connections. It would make sense as to why she appears to be more conscious than the others about what she’s saying and how she’s portrayed.
a shame if that’s the case because it’s backfired and dulled her down a bit!

This! Agree completely. Faye DESTROYED the show last year but ultimately It was ITV who instead of trying to get her removed as they would a bloke chose to focus on her, never address the bullying and toxic vibe she gave to the show and even attempted a hero edit on her near the end. Gemma is a bit meh but as already said the screentime is down to her being the girl all the lads fancy. Until another girl or couple take centre stage I don’t mind her. Once she’s not bullying contestants I don’t think she’s doing much wrong.

Minus the movie night unpopular opinion indeed but I found Faye entertaining and the show would have been even more boring without her.

I don’t think last year’s show was the best one ever but it wasn’t boring, well not in my opinion. I do sort of understand why they kept giving Faye “permission” to be a tool but she should have been removed instantly after her hourly long rant on movie night, definitely would have been the case if it had been one of the men. Not removing her gave her the power to think the public loved her, probably still exists to this day.
