If Gemma stays in longer than 2 weeks im switching off…like i dont care that much about the fakeness/contribed by producers but she has absolutely zero personality ir anything to offer in the way of entertainment or likeability…shes paired up with Luca as he is the only lad in there with a bit of banter or personality
Side note…Davide is actually entertaining when he’s with the right people…whether he intends to be funny or not, he comes out with some good one liners….

AND THEN TODAY I see Michael Owen has done a HUGE ‘tell all’ interview with the Daily Mail. Like ARE YOU KIDDING ME ? How much money has he invested in his daughter to be the star of the show ? And giving ‘exclusive’ interviews during the show etc.
I think if she’s not gone in the next week I won’t be able to keep watching it, the levels of bias and nepotism this year is really gross and sickening !!!!

Has he ??? About the show ??!!!!! He said he doesn’t want to be asked questions on it all whenever someone has asked him. Defo saving all his answers for the paid interview then the twit

I reckon Gemma has been told to keep who her dad is quiet, and hopefully Jaques will have been told the same. This is so the "meet the parents" episode will hopefully have some impact.
I am happy to be wrong, but I think Jaques "brief" will be to get with another girl for a while, I reckon it will be Tasha, Paige or Ekin-Su. This will be with the intention of driving Gemma mad with jealousy and cause lots of drama. Jaques could also come back with another girl from Casa Amore. The scripted intention will be for Jaques and Gemma to get back together towards the end.
Maybe I am being too cynical, but they want ratings, and this requires drama, and more drama.
 
I can't understand them bringing in an ex so soon. There isn't one solid relationship in there. Bizarre. If their intention for Jaques is for him to get back together with Gemma then honestly wtf. This is love island, where you meet NEW sexy people, not a honeymoon/sandals resort.

The more i think about it the less i understand their intentions. Unless he was an emergency signing to get Gemma away from Davide (as the age gap was extra icky), and then liam left so they are quickly bringing in any males available?
 
Jus to confirm that I am up to date. I only realised LI was on, on Thursday and I had to watch it on Catch-up.

Last Episode ended with Davide picking Ekin-Su and Luca picking Gemma? The preview for today was that Tascha said: OMG that’s my Ex?

I’m taking heart from the fact that the ex has gone in so early, we’ve had ex’s going in before but usually after the halfway point, it will be interesting to see if he wants to get with Gemma or go with someone else, he’s handsome enough let’s hope he’s not the male equivalent of Gemma. They can try as hard as they like to upset the apple cart with an ex going in but they’ll never ever better what happened in Series 2 when they sent Emma, an ex of one contestant in, she wasn’t interested in getting back with her ex and paired up with Terry, the same Terry who a couple of days earlier had promised to remain faithful to the girl he’d be partnered up with (Malin) who’d been voted out by the public for spending too much time running from person to person spreading gossip (no one likes a tittle tattle) .. OK stuff happens but in a master stroke they sent Terry out of the villa with one of the boys for some boy’s time and guess who was hiding in the bushes to observe their chat.. Malin, flown back out for the occasion. Tune into Series 2 to watch the confrontation, you won’t be sorry 😉

19 year olds always think they are all grown up and know it all. When she is 30 she'll realise she shouldn't be with anyone much older than her!

Do you enjoy The Morning After with the regular hosts? Kem talks over everyone and toes the party line to a ridiculous degree, Gemma is his heroine for instance, and Arielle is far too excited IMO. Your probably right about getting former islanders to host, for instance they had last year’s winner Liam on earlier in the week, I found him pretty yuck when he was on the show but he was surprisingly erudite on the podcast.

Luca is only 22 I believe? Or do you mean Davide?

Gemma and Davide wouldn’t of worked out (my opinion). There was zero sparks between the two of them. As bad as it sounds I really think, Davide and Feckin Sue fit well.. Davide totally in love with himself and FS very mouthy and upfront. Think that’s what he needs.

That fits well.. He fancied her right from the beginning, he really wanted to be with her and she seems not so tense with him. I think she really fancies him too.

Sure they want drama but they’ll need a better leading lady 🤫
 
If I’m honest I think he’s way fitter than even Davide, so Gemma will defo be feeling it. She’ll probs want him, especially as she’s been with him before, but most likely as people have said earlier, it’s a fix and it’s all been pre-planned. The girls’ heads will definitely turn and I’m hoping there’s some drama in terms of them all fighting for him 😂 Paige will like him 100%, and everyone will be like Luca WHO?

Let's be honest, Gemma wouldn't have made the cut if her father wasn't famous. She is only there because producers thought it would up their ratings. She wouldn't have got past the first round with the personality of a smelly wet dishcloth! Now they're bringing in her Ex?! Like why? It's not the bleedin Gemma show.
