I hope that even if producers try to steer the story with Gemma 😴 and the ex it won't go to plan. Other characters will hopefully start to steal the show. For instance last year Jake and Liberty were being pushed but the public wised up to them before the producers did. And Toby and Chloe were the surprise hit really imo, because it was far more natural.
(I know last year isn't a great example as the series was quite poor altogether but yswim).
 
OMG I didn't know there was a Love Island thread! I'm here for it.

Anyone else feeling old watching this year? I mean... I am old... but even older than it normally makes me feel!

Davide's accent seems OTT, like come on he lives in Manchester and has for a while but he sounds like someone doing an impression of an Italian. I work with Italians who live in Italy and they have less of an accent :D

As a fellow dressage rider, I really wanted to like Gemma. We all know it's very staged and she's currently the storyline for them. I'm feeling very cynical about them trying to show someone so young in a negative light - I know they'll probably do a 'redemption' storyline but still.
 
I think Luca looks like John McCririck with his sunglasses chains on 😎

One thing ive noticed about Gemma is that she just never laughs. Ever. Like she says something sarcastic clearly as a joke but then she doesn't laugh after it so it makes it awkward. She seems quite socially awkward and I really do think its due to her age. I mean she's 19 and with COVID too idk she just seems like she struggles to communicate. I think she has a dry sense of humour like when she called Luca's last name unfortunate but because she's not very charismatic it just comes off so odd

Just putting it out there that if he had a son in there instead this would all get discussed very different, by both him and a lot of others.

I get she’s not liked by a lot of people, and I’m not really a fan, but I’ve seen some absolutely vile sexual messages about her, some people seem to think she’s fair game just because she’s a footballers daughter? And a lot of “no father wants to see their daughter on there” like okay but all the sons can do what they want?! What a shocker… 😒🙄🤣

On the one hand good for him pointing that out...on the other hand he's one of these that has publicly moaned about press intrusion into his own life while bad mouthing the only political party calling for a second Leveson inquiry.

Did you see anything about what he said at the last England game during the week. He was there doing whatever he does , and the woman interviewer said something about love islands Gemma Owen’s Michael Owen js here and he said I came all the way to Germany to avoid it so don’t ask me anymore about it.
so I’m shocked he did a full interview 🤯
