I've been a Priya apologist but that was condescending AF. Straight to gold. Of course we're the most intelligent couple, I'm a doctor (err medical student), we have a phD between us blah blah. Bore off it's not like you have much competition FFS.

My ex was like that. Trying to wear you down with lots of words mainly about *their* thoughts and how *they* felt about things in an exaggerated way whilst pretending it was all about you. And never ever saying anything important.
People like that think they are great strategists and very clever when they usually aren't.
 
Now I see why there isn’t a Love Island for older people. I think as you get older you’re less likely to tolerate bullshit, unlike the girls in there who are still young and naive. I’m in my 30’s and if any of the boys pissed me off or acted the way some of them have in there, I’d be like nah mate I’m done. Wouldn’t make very exciting television 😂

Im 29 and if a fellas head was turned I wouldn't give a duck. Girls take sooo long to learn this.
 
Me and my bf were really good friends for like 2/3 years, obviously had both fell in love with each other without the other knowing, then said I love you to each other and then started dating/became bf and gf and have now been together for 6 years, kind of an untraditional way but it can happen but again we were extremely close friends for years before, we hadn’t only known each other for 6/7 weeks lmao

Same here. 🇮🇪🇮🇪 also. I think Libs is the type of person that would blurt out ILY to any fella that she was with for a few weeks! She said it far too soon. I'm not a Jake fan at ALL but cornering someone into saying I Love You is manipulative bollocks. Some people just don't bandy it around easily. I can't 100 percent know what Jake's intentions are, but it was like he panicked tonight at perhaps at the thought of losing her so said it to placate her. Did he mean it? Highly unlikely IMO. If he doesn't love her, he shouldn't have said it. While he may not LOVE her , I do think he's very fond of her. Ah, I dunno maybe he does in his own way. WTF knows. She's right to air her thoughts and doubts with him and he has every right to answer as he sees fit.
If she doesn't trust him or thinks he has an ulterior motive, then she should split with him and just enjoy the last few days in the villa. Likewise with Jake.
It will be interesting to see how this "intervention" goes on Sunday night. I hope it works out for them if they're as into each other as they both say. I'm a rosemantic (but cynical) gobshite and I'll root for love every time.

Had tapped out on LI for a little bit after movie night but am so glad I have caught up in time to hopefully witness Jakes downfall. Don't let me down Lib, you deserve better!

-the girls definitely didn’t look like they bought it when Liberty said it was hopefully squashed with Jake

Ahh sometimes you can fall fast and hard though, I don’t think it always takes that long. Swear with my ex it was the first night I met him, i was absolutely smitten and totally obsessed with him. But I was 15 😂

I found that so gross (and would feel the same if it were a man who said it) it’s no better than one of the other couples putting their hand up for ‘hottest couple’ and saying erm obviously we are the hottest! Shock!

Ordinarily yes. But you wouldn't normally be spending 24/7 for weeks with someone so soon after dating?

I think spending so much time together in their little love island bubble does funny things to them

When they come out and go back to reality they realise the relationship was just a holiday romance type thing and will never work on the outside
 
Not a Jake fan but let me just play devil's advocate for a minute. What if he's just one of those simple guys who's struggles to articulate his emotions?

I do think he's a bit of a showman, and overly rates himself, and I do still think both him and Lib have been playing the power couple game straight from the Love Island handbook. But i’m starting to think he might just be that type who isn't sensitive (my brother in law is the same).

Still would avoid him though.
