also, i'm pretty sure Darcy is still attending the same school. like, she has obvs moved up to the senior part of the school, but it's the private school Matt teaches at and she has been going there since she was tiny. it doesn't surprise me that - in that context - Darcy wasn't nervous, as surely it means she's walking into a classroom full of kids she mainly knows, at a location she is fairly familiar with - even if the teachers etc are different. it's not the same as starting at a totally new secondary school, where you have never been before. and in that respect, Louise insistijg she walk Darcy to the door makes even less sense. that would be morifiying enough for a kid starting their first day at high school if their mother walked them to the door, but Darcy and Louise both already know the school, so it's all just Louise asserting control. i imagine Darcy was overjoyed to back at school, simply so can spend time away from being filmed at every opportunity, dress in toddler-style dresses and be expected to dress up and pose for photos as Louise demands. being at school is probably where she feels most relaxed, poor girl.
It’s literally the building next door but on the same site and as you say her dad works there so I’m sure she’s fine. Though it’s also Louise’s old school (don’t think it had the junior bit when she went - think that’s fairly recent) so she probably wanted to make sure people knew who she was
