my dad used to walk the dog with me to the gates every day for the first 2 years of secondary school.. it never embarrassed me (i enjoyed spending the extra time with him, especially since he died the year i started year 9) and no-one ever mentioned it or made fun of me 🤷‍♀️

but if it's the same school she's been in for the last 7 years (as someone said earlier), that does seem a bit overkill and knowing louise, it was probably not a choice, she does tend to baby darcy a lot

So sorry about your dad. Sounds like you were close xxxx

None of our business, obviously, but sharing half a story saying my mummy heart hurts because we have family stuff going on is kinda clickbaity and strange? We wouldn’t know if you didn’t tell us…

I for one wasn’t curious until it was mentioned
Came here to say this! Why even bring it up if you’re not going to actually say what the problem is. Can’t help but speculate in my mind what it could be now…

I'm a secondary school teacher and plenty of parents drop their kids off to the gates on the first day so I don't think thats too strange. I offered to go with my son his first day but he didn't want me to go as he was going with his friends.

Im also very interested to see how she will treat Darcys privacy now she is at secondary school

She didn’t go to the gates, she went into the school with her. Her words were ‘I walked her in a little bit, this is secondary school so I didn’t take her to her classroom but just to the front’

Plenty of parents also walk them in, I've even seen parents wait around a bit until the gates close. On the first day nobody thinks its too strange.

Typically a parent will be stopped near the gates though and a staff member will show the child where to go.

I think the family stuff has to do with Evie, her cousins child. Possibly custody too (since they split), she was very close to her maybe they don't see her now? In her recent YT video she mentioned things were happening in her life/family that were negative and unjust

Yes she defo needs to give Darcy some freedom and let her walk into school alone.

On that note, not that it's relevant, but when my child goes to secondary school I'm also enrolling at the same school aka Drew Barrymore in 'Never Been Kissed' style. I can't fathom letting them go (I will but lord help me when the time comes).

To be fair though, Arthur Fleck aka The Joker sleeps with his mother in the same bed in his 40s, so there's hope for us parents who don't wanna let go yet (although he IS a tad unhinged).

She's said this thing about family stuff going on for a while I feel like, a few months at least. It is a bit annoying if she won't say what it is.
She does it a lot. She’s like one of those people who tag themselves at a hospital on Facebook and then reply with ‘I’ll PM you hun’! The last time she said that things were difficult it was to do with renovating one of her rental properties and having to call tradespeople. 🎻

Yeah that goes for ANYONE online. If you're not going to elaborate, keep it to yourself. It's attention seeking behavior and unhealthy.
it is attention seeking, but also used as a way for influencers to increase engagement, with cryptic and vague references to "family things", she knows damn well that - even though she has no intention of sharing further details - dropping hints like that will pique her followers interest, and they will send messages out of curiosty, either asking questions she won't answer, or simply sending her love and support etc. receiving a flood of DMs from her followers - whether because they want to share their support or are simply nosy - increases engagement, which is exactly what she needs to encourage brands to approach her to work with them etc. she knows exactly what she's doing, and it's equallt as manipulative as sharing sneaky affiliate links to survey apps, to make money by exploiting people's concerns about financial struggles. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Omg I was JUST going to say this. There’s a family guy sketch that does exactly this with the hospital scenario.
I am so close to unfollowing Louise but she’s like a car crash you can’t take your eyes off.

We all know how that turned out.
Louise may get smothered in her soft office! 🤣
Ooh, that’s dark..lol 😅

it will go either two ways:
1. Darcy tells her to back off as she gets older which I’d like to think Louise would respect.
2. It won’t bother Darcy. Maybe she might aspire to be a future influencer?? As that is a common aspiration for young kids these days as an occupation.

It would interesting to see if these influencer spawn would try and chase that hashtag AD/gifted lifestyle that their parents have had.

I thought this! No one would know you have stuff going on if you didn’t post saying something cryptic. Just don’t say anything

it's not even so much the fact that she walked Darcy in - although walking her to the door of a school she's been attending for years on her first day of secondary school seems a little extreme - but the way she shares that detail publicly all over SM. plenty of parents may accompany their children to the gate in the first day of school, butt they don't rush home and share that fact with the entire world - it's totally unnecessary and yet another example of Louise exploiting Darcy's privacy. maybe she did feel a little nervous and wanted Louise to walk with her, or maybe the whole thing was fuelled by Louise being controlling - the reason behind it is irrelevant, the fact is that Darcy doesn't need every single private detail of her life and emotions plastered all over IG, and that's the difference between her life and the lives of other kdis starting secondary school. they may feel nervous, but their parents don't share that information with every single kid in their class. 🤷🏻‍♂️
