Please someone help me do the math! If she has 135K followers, how many views/eyeballs is she likely to get on a post? And how does that correlate with a page of advertising in a mag? Is it still a better deal for the brands?

honestly, I feel like Lizzy is saying out of pocket for all the PR surrounding Buffy's (stupid name btw) There's no way big brands are supporting and paying an influencers bookclub. Financially it doesn't make any sense for brands to to do so. She gets barely any likes or engagement on her YouTube videos, and she barely interacts with her followers on social media anyways.
I think Lizzy is so directionless she's really pushing hard for Buffy's to actually work out and thus finically putting a lot into it. Cause what else is she doing if it doesn't work out? going for coffee and being thin?

So sad! Church's shoes are abhorrently expensive these days (around a grand?) and yeah, I don't think Lizzy's target market is a Church's customer.

Lizzy's been getting free stuff from Church's for a while. Maybe not continuously, but I remember she featured them years ago because I myself was influenced! Until I saw their price tag and confusing sizing. Her abysmal online engagement aside, I do think the bookish, androgynous style she's cultivated fits the brand; on the other hand, it also makes me think their products are only for rich, English girls.
Because of the cost she's charging people to attend the retreats, plus add in any sponsored content. The Bali attendee costs would have seen her make an in hand profit after expenses of at least AUD $30K for the 8 days.

It's just an overpriced "girls trip" with a side of surf instruction, skateboard instruction, and what looks like a lot of shopping. I also think it's a little gauche to have a photographer around all the time. I certainly wouldn't want to be photographed for a week by some skeezy man I don't know. Like what is the point of these retreats other than more holidaying for Lindsey, getting weird "professional" content for her own socials, and taking advantage of these women's desire for being a part of the "cool group" and belonging?

Don’t hate me, but I actually think having a photographer is a good idea for a luxury retreat. Most people will want photos to remember the trip and their skills/equipment won’t be nearly as good as a professional. Particularly for surfing, I think you’d want some nice photos of you on a board, and you definitely couldn’t do that yourself. But of course this is only relevant if the photog is offered as a service for the guests’ benefit (and they get the photos afterward). I have a feeling Lindsey isn’t doing that, and is simply using the photos for her social media content.

Hahaha oh absolutely, Marnie Rays is NOT luxury. I just meant that I could see a true luxury outing offering a personal photographer as part of the package. Or even any specialty/boutique experience.

This is def a service (luxury lol) resorts offer for honeymooners for example, but there's no mention of professional photos in the "what's included" section for any of the destinations.
Also, it's suggested attendees pack their own first aid kits with antibiotics...so Lindsey isn't bringing bandaids for everyone then?! I wonder if she's making this Fionula girl pay her own airfare/accommodation. She's "personally invested" which to me means she's spent some of her own cash to be a part of all this.

So, Lizzy has recently commented that she dreams of living in north london and has been eyeballing properties on Rightmove but forgetting to play the lottery. Surely she could have got a flat in a nicer area, have better upkeep flat wise and still do her 101 trips to NY?
