Re the armed robbery suspects, did they have 5 pictures on the wall? I thought there was only 4 in the first episode. 3 in the bookies, one of whom was killed, and the driver. Steve and choloe only looked through 3 of the rap sheets in the first episode when they decided they had robbed nothing note than a Greggs.

Also, again Jo was making it so obvious during the interview. That she had seen the driver and he wasn't looking at his phone or anything, just staring intently at the bookies. So much info as they were whizzing pass. She would know that they would pick up on this and it was bollocks. She is saying it all for a reason.

Linky for the Daniel Morgan podcast. Nice parallel to the Gail podcast they were talking about:

I feel that there are too many references from the past, to keep up.

Corbett’s widow lives in Liverpool, yet she is spotted in AC12’s offices, and then Steve pops in for a cup of tea.
Not an impossible distance, but it’s hardly up the road.
Where is it actually based, Nottingham? Or somewhere fictional? Is it filmed in Belfast?

They have never said, but as a scouser - I recognise the location.. It’s fairly subtle so I wouldn’t expect too many non Liverpudlians to spot it.
I’m north West too (hi!) recognise the cathedral on the horizon but wasn’t sure if it was just a fake back drop - whereabouts is it? North Liverpool somewhere I’m assuming?

Please can someone remind me who Ryan is again? My brain can’t keep up with all these people from past series 🤯
He was the kids the OCG groomed to run errands in series 1 and he cut John Corbett’s throat in series 5

She would of got John's pension & he would of got death in service too i would of thought
I think the point was he didn’t because he was “corrupt” at the time of his death. He’d killed Hargreaves so even though he was doing the right thing at the end he could never go back to police. Think that’s why Hastings gave her the money

I think the Corbett’s are supposed to live in Liverpool but she has the worst fake scouse accent ever

Was awake in the night trying to figure out what’s going on😂😂

If H stands for Hillside then there’s got to be more ‘H’s’ involved to have such an important role in all of this. There must be a fair few corrupt, not all of them but a few. I think they’ve sent Kate there as undercover for another AC unit as they’re suspicious 😄

I am not sure of the exact location of Corbett’s hone in Liverpool, but recognise the view of the city.
From the position, it looks like Everton - but the actual bungalows don’t look familiar to me for that area..

I originally thought Line of Duty was supposed to be set in the South East - but references seem to indicate West Midlands.

Corbett’s widow has a terrible Scouse accent. You would think hiring a Liverpool actress for the part would have been easy enough - or one who is good on accents!

I will have to watch episode 2 again, but was Steve looking at her blank TV screen and commenting that she has Sky Sports? It seemed a bit odd, but maybe I missed something.

Also speculation that Corbett’s widow may have taken his gun from the glove compartment, but would he leave his gun in the car like that?
Or is his thinking fuzzy from necking all that Codeine? 🤪

I live in Liverpool - the backdrop does look like everton hills but the house/street are defo fake, I’ve never seen them before and Liverpool is a small place

I’m going to have to watch again too, but I thought he was digging about her money situation after hearing her talking to Ted 🧐 if she didn’t get a payout from John’s death (which to me it sounded like she didn’t 🤷🏼‍♀️), then he might wonder why she has enough money for a new tv and sports package etc. That was my assumption anyway but like I said, I definitely need to rewatch at least once or twice!

I think she referenced the champions league being on later that day so he questioned her having access to sports channels

Ahh I see.
Isn’t he nosey? 😄

The mention earlier in the thread, that she may have taken his gun when she went to his car - or even planted something (or Steve planting something in her home). I’m not really getting that vibe.
I feel that Steve is definitely snooping on her, suspicious of her connection to Ted - but there seems to be a genuine fondness for each other.
Perhaps Steve will end up having another inappropriate relationship, which will again damage any promotion..

Brilliant episode - I’m interested in how the Chloe storyline is going to play out and will take all the credit for spotting that first 😂😂😂

Does Kate have feelings for Jo - she stitched Steve up and there has to be a reason or was it all a ploy to get jo to trust Kate??? Ryan most recognise Kate so he must have it in for her too.

Great episode.

who’s Chloe?! I can’t keep up 😂

I don’t think Chloe and Ryan was at police college together as she would be a pc. Don’t you have to have so many years as a pc before you can even become a detective?
Two years in uniform, unless it's the Met where you can apply to become a detective if you have a degree.
