The whole flip out in the car seemed weird to me - she's obviously completely being forced to do something and she feels trapped? I was thinking it's too much of a coincidence that that hillside team has Kate AND Ryan based there - surely that's not subtle enough for Jed? I'm wondering if there's something about Kate being planted there, having to tell Jo to lure her into trusting her, then she's potentially going to have an affair with her to get to the bottom of whatever it is we're trying to get to the bottom of. Hastings *knows* stuff - was he trying to deflect Steve by promoting him?
I need paracetamol.

I didn't read much into that - just that it was murky because he was undercover but hadn't made contact with his gaffer in months.
And the worry about the house being a safety thing more than anything? 🧐 🧐

I thought it was obvious Steve was checking out Steph and her financial situation because he saw/heard Hastings talking to her about the HMRC and Hastings gave her the money at the end of the last series?

So Steve is figuring that out for himself, no? I thought it tied in more with Steve struggling over whether to leave AC-12 for the transfer his ex set up for him? Ted being untrustworthy would be the push he needed... although I’m sure this is going to be part of the wider story too.
