The person I was replying to said they hoped Jo had left some of her DNA on it too. I was saying that if she had left any it would have been flagged when it was tested and they found Farida's.
 
Oooh I've just remembered in episode 1, when Jo went to get her stuff from Faridas and she shut the door behind her, she hesitated when looking at the keys and then walked away with them still in her hand... so she still has a key to Faridas house and could have gone back at any time to plant the burner phones or got someone else (*cough*Ryan*cough*) to go and plant them for her

Would the techie boffins be able to tell if Farida’s DNA was in the ‘right’ places - as in where someone would touch them naturally during handling and how easy would it be to plant that?
 
I really feel like Jo is a good cop deep down inside, but she's totally being forced into doing things - blackmailed or threatened (something to do with her mum) - to throw AC-12 off the scent and, or disrupt the main investigation. Someone very high up in the ocg is terrifying her and pulling her strings. I don't think she wants to do it and I think she thought it was over when Farida was arrested but no - they made her pick up that new burner phone and carry on. That's why she flipped in the car and I think she's going to lose her tit as the series goes on. Maybe confessing to Kate?

We don't actually know how much DNA was found on them to know what it's really showing other than she apparently handled them. I found it all a bit ambiguous really.

They love the idea of planting DNA on Line of Duty though.

Just realised it showed Jo keeping hold of the keys last week when she left Farida’s, that makes sense now.

I think they said in previous series that the Corbett’s lived ‘up North’ so coupled with the accent and view from the house I think it’s supposed to be near Liverpool at least. AC-12 is ‘Central’ so I think the equivalent commute would be Liverpool to Birmingham ish. Not that I think Hastings is living there at all!
