It could be a bit of a bluff. Series 2 was all about Denton being underestimated- she never really moved up the career ladder and people kept mentioning that, but she was super smart. Maybe he found it was less suspicious? He'd be the right age to have been involved in the Lawrence Christopher case too?

Ha, you saying that is exactly what made me think it could be Morton. Exaggerate his inability to walk, play a lowly character, create a big important non-existent boss. I do really want this to be true.

That’s very true, I seem to remember him making a thing about staying a DC as well (I can’t remember his exact reasoning)
 
So there have been McTulloch's all over this series and I think they are clues.

The SIO before Davidson (brought Ryan in?) was Billy McTulloch (it was in the Gail Vella newspaper articles, McTulloch was looking at gangland execution then changed to a crazed stalker theory.

When Ryan's police record came up on screen, it said his training officer was a McTulloch (not Billy McTulloch, I cant remember the first name)

Lastly, when those 5 thugs were on screen (who beat up Lawrence Christopher) one of them was named McTulloch.

Can not be a coincidence.

I think it was an R McTulloch who was Ryan’s training officer! It’s very interesting isn’t it 🤔 I know Jed does reuse names at times (Lisa and Jane for example) but it’s not the most common in the world is it.

Or Steve did? He felt very guilty over the death of her husband? Him going searching in her house might’ve been to check that she’d spent it? And he was gutted when he ‘found it’ and realised he could still be implicated?

Surely he wouldn’t get her financial records and get the notes analysed if he had given it to her? There’s 50k missing from the 100k Ted had, I think that’s where it’s from.

We know Ted gave it to her, he took the Jiffy bag with the money in to meet Steph at Corbett’s grave. That’s him below with the bag at the end of the season and they told us the 50k was ‘missing’.

I think I've missed something somewhere along the line.....howcome Darren Hunter's name didn't also come back as a partial DNA match (full/half sibling) when they discovered that Tommy (his father) was Jo's blood relative? Has his DNA info been wiped from the PNC database or was it never recorded in the first place?

She arrived from nowhere season 1
She’s worked with Hilton and Buckells waay back before S1 and Buckells didn’t ‘recognise’ her when she rocked up at Hillside
Dot took a bullet for her
Ryan didn’t do his normal serial killer sneak attack stabby usual on her and seemed really unkeen to shoot her without a long Scooby Doo confession first.
She has been making really odd decisions for the whole of S6
But mostly because it would just be the MOST satisfying ending
Poor little WWW weeping at the betrayal of his ‘mate’ pulling the longest game ever.

Re: the trailer that everyone’s thinking is the spoiler for the end of the most recent episode. I don’t believe it. Think it’s a massive red herring.
To think Jed Mercurio would ever give away plot points when he purposefully guards the show to the extent where it’s not even on on demand so you can binge watch ...
I think Jo’s dead shot by Kate, Ryan possibly injured by a backfiring dodgy gun or Kate and Kate will frame Ryan for it. Either way there’s just NO WAY Kate would ever meet someone in an dodgy lorry park knowing the likelihood of stabby Ryan being there

Tommy’s alive - Dot’s ex in forensics sorted it so a convenient dead body ‘matched the dna’
He’s the one pulling the strings on the dodgy laptop. DEFINATELY (I can almost hear his Scottish accent pronouncing it like the mis spelling)
