I feel like Chloe just can’t be Tony’s daughter, AC12 didn’t kill him he killed himself knowing the OCG would otherwise. He may not have been corrupt like H but he was hardly innocent throughout S1 and ultimately that’s his own doing 🤷‍♀️ So what would be the point in Chloe being his daughter? Also I wear she was was 12 max in S1? She’d be 22/23 max I think, so barely out of uni. I just don’t see the point in it!

Unless it’s all getting linked back to Jackie Laverty and thats why she got on the force. Or to back up the foster care theory that she may have ended up in care for some reason.

I don't think she's bright enough to be a criminal mastermind.

There needs to be a reason why she’s still in the series so prominently

That's true. Steve was going to arrest Gates but he let him run into traffic so that his record would show that he'd died in the line of duty.

This may well be true .Her accent is bad too. Not the scouse accent to be clear! Just her murderation of it.

That's what I was thinking. Otherwise what's the point of her. Unless it's to humanise WWW.

Yes, I am still firmly of the belief that Steph is a part of this series to continue the story with Hastings giving her the money and to move Steve’s personal plot along, as she is the only person aware of his issues with drugs.

Her presence was basically the plot device for Steve to get info on Ted and for Steve’s drug issues to come to the surface.
 
Little bit off topic but have any of you seen Ashes to Ashes? I’m just rewatching it and I always forget Adrian Dunbar is in series 2. He literally plays a police officer who witnesses corruption and gets bribed 😂
We need a line of duty ashes to ashes crossover episode where Lindsay Denton wakes up in the afterlife and meets her long lost twin Alex Drake and they solve crime together like bad ass witches 😂

My hubby had a good theory tonight... or maybe we are just thinking too much into it. But Nesbit’s character is going to have to be a significant character isn’t he. For them to justify how much an actor like him would cost. If it was going to be a small part they’d use a smaller actor he thinks. I don’t want him to be H after all this time it should be someone we know, but you never know! There’s going to be more too his character for sure

I don’t know why but I love Carmichael. She might be a big meany but she is not wrong about ac-12, they should never have locked Buckells up on that flimsy evidence, and if she is not in the OCG she would just see it all as Ted’s wild goose chase, that costs money and man power,.
I have big issues with Jo texting Kate the new location. I know they would ether deleate the texts or get rid of the phones but it is not out of the realms of possibility that the police would contact the phone company for transcripts-not sure if they can actually do that though, or that they would have a record of the number of texts sent and ask why Jo sent two texts rather than one. Steve could maybe even see if Jo and Ryan’s phones were near Kates. It would be much easier to get her a bit pissed and target her near her home, frame it as a random crime. It just seems too messy, as well as not even knowing if Kate would attend a meeting in an out of the way dodgy location. Or they could have just used watsapp.
