What was Kate thinking going to such a dark out of area place to meet Jo at a sudden change of mind when they’d agreed to meet in a restaurant. That was off with to start. She new Jo was dodgy and she has enough experience under her belt to know something was up. I still think standing back and looking at Kate she’s the one we know so little about. IMO the dying declaration of Dot’s was a ballsup, and misled the whole of 2 seasons. Dot took a bullet for her too and I feel she completely dismissed Buckells when Steve had his concerns about his arrest.
Im not sure how I feel about Jimmy Nesbit coming into the series. If he ends up with a big slice of the corruption pie this late in the game I’ll not be happy.

After listening to Dots podcast I don’t think he will make an appearance. Apparently Jimmy asked Jed to write him a part for line of duty. They both worked on bloodlands together. Maybe this is a way of writing him in but never appears on screen other than the pictures we saw in the last episode.

I don’t think Nesbitt will have an on-screen part. They’d have to find him first. He was seen filming but it was for the photos Steve and Chloe showed Fairbank.

I have been racking my brain to why Kate would go to the second location-I know she thought they were under surveillance but it was so odd, and surveillance could not stop a bullet out of nowhere. So now I think that Kate and Jo are in cahoots and cooked this up to fit up Ryan. We have seen they are close, maybe the distance is a red herring.

Why do we think they are blackmailing Jo? Obvs we know she’s related to Tommy. It’s her dad and uncle which means Tommy and the nasty get he is I take it he must have raped his sister (jos mum)

are the OCG just blackmailing her so this info won’t get out or is there more to it?

I’m not sure but it’s weird how Steve said to Hastings Kate has sent a location and they are all raring to go with armed officers and the lot.

Im not convinced Hunter raped Jo's mum. I think it might have been the other way around. Might explain why Jo's so mad, and Hunter may have ended up in care and became a corrupt bully exploiting people like he was to gain some power over what happened to him. The OCG only need to say they'll tell the police she's related to Hunter to scare her. Or maybe her mum's in somewhere. She was safe while Hunter was alive, but now the OCG want revenge for him going into witness protection.

I think Tommy was the one who a was abused. He went off the rails, maybe ended up in care and that’s how he came involved in the OCG? He worked his way up a bit like Ryan?

I think in this photo Jo’s mum looks like she could be at least 20 years older than her. That would fit with the theory that she is the older sibling, so could be something in the idea that Tommy was the victim.

I think this too, though I do think when she went she did still think she’d have the backup of surveillance as well as it being a fit up for Ryan.

I saw someone wondering on Twitter if we’ve had the full “Kate and Jo” that was originally scripted, and I think that might be right, after all scenes of them getting close would have been tricky to film with the distancing requirements (they managed to get around that with Steve’s issue but the Steve and Steph bed scene was still awkward with them miles apart) so they’ve left the viewer to fill in the gaps in their head. Maybe if they both survive then we’ll get a conversation that sheds more light on it.

I’m aware they’re both alive in the trailer in scenes that haven’t airer - just didn’t want to say that directly in case it’s crossing the spoiler line!

There's just so much speculation about this series now that the truth might not be as shocking as our theories. It might be my age but I had to rewind to catch what little Arnott says sometimes.
I know what you mean, I do wonder if there’s anything at all that hasn’t been thought of by someone on a forum/group/wherever. I’m just too nosey and invested to avoid the speculation 🤣
