Indeed as Emma Raducanu has been here since she was 2 and is from a family who are well-off.

Good luck to her later and I hope that those trying to make an issue of where she was born will stop playing such silly games.

I think the Canadians are trying to claim her though that's like claiming Boris is American :ROFLMAO:

I'd imagine most of them, especially those on the far left of twitter, barely ever watch or bother with sports until it gives them a reason to chime in with a political agenda. It was the same with the England campaign at the Euros.

Firstly it was quite a triumph and well done to Emma :) 🎾

For the left this is a disaster as the family of immigrants comes to the UK to build a life and their daughter succeeds beyond their dreams.
Next the population of supposed racists gets completely behind her with a wave of support.
Even worse she is plainly proud to be British “It meant everything to get a message from Her Majesty”

This will have singed across the ether to James

Clive Bull's not happy, the phone lines are playing up & Ian Payne's slept in :D

"It's been a long enough night as it is"

Can't lie, I think it was really unprofessional from Ian. I'm listening on catch up and he's an hour late. If you have to be at work on time, you need to be, regardless. Imagine doing that at any other job.

Staying up to watch a tennis game isn't a good excuse. I think he'll get away with it because it's 4am and a, I'd imagine, smaller listening audience at that time.

Steve Allen is 67 and still manages to be on time every single morning five days a week. No matter anyone's thoughts on Steve, he's nothing but professional and punctual.

Edit: now sounds like Ian is talking with food in his mouth lol wtf.

Ian must have grabbed a MacMuffin on the way in 😁

I remember when Cristo was late and he was seriously late! Nick Abbot ended up doing most of Cristo's show. Cristo left shortly after.

IIRC, Cristo didn't leave LBC on great terms, I wonder if that may have been a reason.

Possibly contributed. Just prior to that he had been whining about getting his weekends back and he'd had a lot of problems with gout. It was around that time he'd fallen out with Steve Allen too.

Cristo left and then started bitching about Matt Stadlen who had taken over. The two of them had plenty of twitter spats over audience figures. I don't think Cristo is very nice person.

LBC listener deisegal seems to communicate in obscure gobbledygook soundbites, strange social media twitter-speak & has an almost year old US election fixation.
Quite bizarre from a grown adult, would suspect she spends her days 'researching'
just as Nick Ferrari mega-fan Colin from Windsor does.😁

"I am glad that day is over" says a 49 year old man as he takes his turn in doing the nightly security patrol for the Chiswick gated estate in which he lives. He had wanted to support the green protest on the M25 but it was just his luck that it happened on the same day as the golf day at his branch of the Metropolitan Liberal Urban Elite. So they were stuck on the M25 and furious.

Things might have been different if he had got off to a better start. How was he to know that his seconder at the Metropolitan Liberal Urban Elite. would turn into a kimono wearing fox murderer? Or that the family Cavapoo would do exactly that on the committee secretaries front lawn?

Still time for bed....

Steve's not a fan of the Insulate Britain protesters - "blast them down the street with a water cannon"

Jersey Gold top milk is a blast from the past. How many years ago did that end?

It didn't. You can till get it in supermarkets. I suppose it's just not as popular as it used to be.

As a kid I remember getting my bowl of cornflakes in the morning and hoping there would be a fresh bottle of milk with the cream on top. That bottle was never shaken. I also added loads of sugar so probably not the healthiest of breakfasts 😁
