I was listening yesterday to his comeback podcast after the endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures. In it he mentioned a prostate check, implying that he'd had it done at some stage.

I thought he'd kept schtum about all the embarassing details or has he now opened up about the 'bladder infection' episode? I'm guessing he hasn't.

How comes he went for a colonoscopy and endoscopy if he had bladder issues? I remember him during those times and he sounded so worried and not himself. It was weird to hear him then compared to after he recovered. Like night and day.

I imagine Steve has a long list of ailments and they were probably inspecting something else dodgy.

He must have been given stern talks a few times, he then takes it seriously before he goes back to normal.

If he needs more medical treatment it will be due to the carrots in a salad and all their sugar and not the ice cream.

He certainly gets his moneys-worth out of the NHS. But he's worked and paid his dues all his adult life, so why not!

Poor old Steve; doing one of his favourite re-enactments (Judy Garland's closing scene from A Star is Born) and he forgot her character's name! Steve, repeat after me; "Ladies and Gentlemen, this - is - Mrs - Norman - Maine' 😭

He gave a potted history of Judy for about 15 minutes this morning, she was penniless ladies and gentlemen, never even owned her name at the end.

As you will probably have heard on this morning's news bulletins the last set of RAJAR figures are out. Nick Ferrari's audience is up, according to the bulletin (I have not received the individual presenter's listenership yet).

However, if we are to look at the station, overall -

LBC UK (thousands of listeners, listening!) FM and Digital 3295 - down from 3493 last survey
LBC London (FM) 1425 - down from 1524 last survey
LBC News UK 1017 - down from 1057 last survey
LBC News (London) 443 - down from 576 last survey

So basically not a very good report.

Where have the listeners gone?

Times Radio 570 down from 703
talkRadio 686 up from 650

So talkRadio are the station buying the drinks down the pub !!!

(I haven't looked at Radio 4. BBC R London are not worth considering!)

I hope to have more detailed information within a few days.

I don't expect any major changes at LBC, as they wouldn't go by just one survey, but they will no doubt be watching the figures closely.

This survey took place between 4 April and 26 June.

E & O E (get out clause in case I have made a balls-up of the figures!)

(Now to catch up on my 'beauty' sleep (as if I needed it !!!!)

Some pics from Iain Dale's 60th birthday party. All the political big hitters there (and producer Corey)

Lol dunno why this makes me laugh

Iain has just tweeted:

RAJAR: The figures are in and I am delighted that for the second quarter in a row Iain Dale in the Evening has achieved a record audience, this time of 645k - the highest evening audience in LBC's 49 year history. Thank you to everyone who has tuned in!

Jobbie hasn't mentioned his listening figures.
