James seems even deeply troubled today.

I have no idea how you can conclude that Republicanism is on the rise in the UK.

I see things are not going well for the past claims that James has made about immigration and diversity in Leicester. Still, that is easily fixed by calling all those who were right racists.
He's waiting to see which way the wind blows regarding either jumping on the Charles III train or the abolish the monarchy bandwagon.
Populist broadcasting at it's worst.

Telegraph's review of LBC's coverage of the funeral. Must have them purring in Global Towers.

However high the standards we set the BBC, we simply don’t expect the same level of public service from commercial radio operators. So, it was gratifying to discover how much effort some put in. LBC, in particular, did a heroic job covering the entire proceedings – and broadcasting across the stable of Global radio stations – with Nick Ferrari and Shelagh Fogarty doing most of the heavy lifting.
Reporters were, in Ferrari’s words, “everywhere we need them to be” and good use was made of expertise from elsewhere in the Global empire – such as Alexander Armstrong’s (from Classic FM) guide to the music listeners would hear during the services. Andrew Marr’s contributions on the relationship between the monarchy and the British people, and its future, carried the kind of authority that is absolutely essential on such occasions.

I've always wondered what conversations between Nick A and Steve look like whenever they do encounter each other. To Nick's credit he has praised Steve a few times for his presenting ability
He was very quick to defend Steve during chubby-gate with the only comment he had to make is what a talent Steve is. I think he very much knows how good he has it at lbc/global and doesn't want to jeopardise that.

Nick was at the enfant terrible of the airwaves for many years and lost jobs over it. He knows where his bread is buttered these days.
Yep, he's too long in the tooth to want to change his routine. He'll turn up half an hour before his shows, drag the papers into his booth and be gone 10 mins after his show ends.

I'm not surprised he never listens to the station, although I believe that he does listen to classic FM.

He does.

Just a shame he's such a fan of JOB. Carol constantly takes the piss out him for that. 🤣
