Fine display of ignorance-fueled inconsistency by Steve this morning. He absolutely adores scampi! Fact: scampi is either the tail of a large prawn or a small lobster (langoustine). But, as he's recounted on many occasions, Steve absolutely hates lobster!

Interesting article https://www.thenational.scot/politi...-mass-exodus-top-staff-bbc-one-major-problem/ Trouble after the first couple of paragraphs, it is behind a subscription/ pay-wall. However, if you keep refreshing the screen you do get the whole article, and just put your system on hold (if you can), to stop it refreshing itself. Alternatively you could go for the free trails sub. It didn't seem to want to let me, though.

Jimbo's now buttsniffing Mick Lynch of the rail union.
"Hanging around car parks as a cub reporter"
"I was a school's debating champion"
He's ashamed of having gone to posh school, cringeworthy stuff.
'Cub reporter'? He wrote celeb gossip under another name. Funny how he never mentions much about his time at the LSE. I'm sure he'd never let us forget it if he'd graduated with a degree.

He's obsessed with class & desperate to be a voice for the working classes, well he doesn't speak for me.
I think he may be having a serious midlife crisis.
Plebs Toffs Silver Spoons Bob Crow...Bob Crow tore me apart

Some interesting stuff there.

For perspective Richard Murphy is hard core left-wing and is a Corbynista. In fact he wrote some of the economic policies for him so ironically did his best to stop him being elected.

So when he writes about "balance" he means that others in the Labour party are right-wing and that LBC are recruiting a left-wing posse from the BBC.

LBC are recruiting a left-wing posse from the BBC.

These people in my view aren't 'Left Wing' per se ... they are well-off, entitled, middle-class people who are well-educated yet not overly intelligent. Most of them have got where they are not through hardwork but through contacts and family connections. They may espouse Leftish rhetoric, but I don't really think any of them stand for anything in particular other than making money, seeking fame and massaging their own ego. As someone wrote above about O'Brien, he certainly doesn't stand for me ... neither does Maitless or Sopel.
