A quick catch up of Nick Abbott last night. Turns out he was being a good samaritan by helping a bloke not get killed who was lying across the road in the early hours in Streatham. Nick assisted stopping his car to protect the guy then shouting at the him and calling him an idiot. Nick was worried he would have to touch him and physically move him. This I can believe would be his worst nightmare ... remember he is such a germophobe was doing his show in marigolds :ROFLMAO:

Nick A strikes me as the kind of person to keep sticks in his car for the very reason so he can poke something / someone that blocks him.

With the news agenda as it is I wouldn't dare listen to him. He needs a politics free hour or something!

Sangita Myska appears to be the permanent Maajid replacement.

At least they've found someone but yet another BBC name. It's beginning to feel like a retirement home for ex BBC presenters at this rate, particularly in the past year. I think that's where LBC loses it's appeal for me. I can understand why they sacked Maajid as he was a liability but could they have not found someone else a bit more out of the box to take his slot?

I was going to ask if anyone had listened to her. I haven't heard her myself.

I saw on twitter

Ian Payne seems to be turning into LBC's weekend agony uncle, random calls from folk like... "ooh couldn't sleep last night Ian"
"Dog's been off his food for a few days now Ian"
Certainly beats the non-stop politics I suppose.
I'd like more shows with 2 presenters, like Iain Dale had, a few weeks ago.
The Allen & Payne Show would be a hoot 😁

The bit I heard went like this: "So, whenever I turn on The Prom's I see a sea of white faces .... Is Lenny Henry right"?

In my original post I finished with 'I saw on twitter' then someone how never finished the sentence 😁 ... what I was actually going to post was I saw on Twitter she had brought up the Lenny Henry no Black or Asian faces at Glastonbury comment.

Such a ridiculous, click bait thing to say.

Some respite from politics at the weekend would be nice. I quite enjoyed Camilla Tominey the other week when she was talking about whether girls should wear skirts at school ... a topic I know very little about or have very little interest in, but it was quite listenable ... I quite like Camilla's brand of soft Consertavism for my sins, it's all the angry shouty people who do my head in, from whatever side of the political aisle they sit.

... about whether girls should wear skirts at school

I misread this initially. I thought you wrote "weather girls" !!!!! Surely at school age they didn't know they were going to report the weather !

That reminds me, I used to date a girl who worked for the metrological office. I could look into her eyes and tell whether!!!!

I caught some of Sangita this afternoon. For someone who has a lot of experience in radio and television, she sounded very stilted. I was not very impressed.

Sangita has a great voice, but I assumed she was new "talent" as is very paint by numbers stuff *boring soundboard affect*

I like her voice too but that was why I looked her up because it was all a bit 'newbie'.

Nick Abbot was busy praising Nick Ferrari the other night and explaining to listeners why he is the best. He said Ferrari could do tabloid or broadsheet. Inquisitor or sympathetic and 'the bit you can't learn, funny' He also said how easy he makes the fast pace of the breakfast show look.

He then went on to say that James O'Brien was the perfect follow up to Nick's show. He ended by saying 'I have no idea how I ended up here' :ROFLMAO:

Nick Ferrari was in excellent form today as the rail strikes suit a fast paced breakfast show.

James just sounds lost wittering on about a union supporting PR. It seems like his supporters have got used to his attitude to "facts" as well.

Just spotted this so will he be coming to LBC as well? Food for thought for those of you noting about how everyone on LBC seems to be ex BBC.

Nick Abbot's high regard for the Nick Ferrari show won't go down well with the DS LBC/Nick Ferrari Steering Group Collective. 😁

Funny how they haven't mentioned this. Too busy with their high-minded prattle about Boris's wallpaper, I suppose. ;)
