I wonder if Brian will mention Eurovision today? I guess the rise in the popularity of the UK ( 12 points from Ukraine) is all too painful for a man who promoted the view that Boris is a Russian plant. How much more wrong could Carole Cadwalladr be?

I bit I heard was Jimbot going on about his mate Martin Lewis, who has had another faux outpouring of foul-mouthed rage on social media about OFFGEM. What on earth is wrong with these two blokes? The constant anger and rage, most of it performative, some of it genuinely psychotic. Geezus.

My advice for Martin Lewis is to listen to less James O'Brien. He will feel much better for it and the anger will fade.

Had a brief listen last night; didn't stay long. He was slagging off the NHS and telling us how much better health care is in Europe. I do wish he'd go and live there!

I am sure he could pay for private healthcare, unlike 99% of us. One thing I don't disagree, is that NHS has been struggling. But Nick's gripe is with the conservative government and how they've let the NHS get to this situation.

Well that's interesting as the moment anyone suggests the government did anything good re covid vaccine rollout nick rebuts that saying it was nothing to do with the government but thanks to the NHS. Of course the truth is it's a mixture of both.

I don't think naunce is something LBC is interested in tbh. LOL.

He did overnights at weekends. A rather strange person. He belonged to a semi-religious organisation called Discordianism, which believes in Chaos. He was a high priest or pope or somesuch. No, I don't know either!! One can only hope he's grown out of it!
Yes. He was a tedious atheist. A face for radio too. I thought at first he had a nice calming voice but he was quite petulant and rude to callers.

Everything is so binary these days and it's exhausting.

JOB calls it 'footballification of politics' . He was rabbiting on about something being "chicken lickenicious' or some nonsense the other day.

If he was in an office he'd be one of those dickheads that uses buzz words and management speak like 'cascading information down' :ROFLMAO: .

"Blue Sky Thinking"
"Circling The Square"
Smash it

I think that James probably realises he has become a figure of fun. Unless he actually believes that low unemployment is bad.

Steve seems to have reverted to being 'Snarky' Steve. I only hear the last hour of his show every day but in that time he's managed to revive his usual snipes about the usual suspects: the Beckhams, Peter Andre et al. And, heaven knows why, he's taken a dislike to Sam Ryder, so we will no doubt be getting updates on his activities.

Funny, you're right. I turned off. He was going on about him never having had to claim benefits or scrounge. I would suggest quite a few people are shaving to live off benefits these days because they've no friggin' choice, that's not scrounging. There was something else that got my goat too .... he's quite an unpleasant fellow really isn't he. I would think most of the people who he has lunch with are much younger than him and only put up with him because he can help their career. He'd be friendless otherwise.

LBC RAJAR figures have just been published (upto March 2022). I have had a quick glance and their audiences are up both for London and nationally and also for LBC News. I am sure they will be telling us on their news bulletins how Nick Ferrari's Breakfast Show has increased its audience by .... ! What will be interesting is if he has taken over the top spot from J O'B again. I hope to have the details within a few days .... unless J O'B announces he is still no.1 (which he would surely do if that is the case, but won't say anything if he isn't !!!).

Clipped this from Global's press release;
Nationally, LBC’s Nick Ferrari at Breakfast and James O’Brien both celebrate a record 1.4 million listeners across the UK. LBC’s daytime audience growth continues with Shelagh Fogarty and Eddie Mair, who attract more than 1.1 million people each, while Iain Dale celebrates a record 593,000 weekly listeners.

I eagerly await your findings 😁

I wonder how Nick Abott's shows did?

---

LBC’s Nick Ferrari and James O’Brien meanwhile drew in the biggest listenership of the commercial players, with 1.4m weekly listeners each. Ferrari’s audience figures were back up after slumping slightly at the end of last year.
