I was just about to post that thewittowoo, you beat me to it. And sounding very good too. I listen a lot to LBC but enjoy Adam Boulton and Kate McCann on Sunday mornings, the show Theo is covering.

Like James O'Brien who was also a panelist on The Wright Show when it first started.

It is weird that we can talk about John Sweeney, James O'Brien and Matthew Wright and we will describe them all as journalists.

Why does she get so much airtime? Her voice is so monotonous.

I did LOL at Nick's opening last night. 'I want to talk about the Olympics but I can't because we are surrounded by morons' . Thankfully he didn't spend too much time on the rioting.

Does just being published in a newspaper qualify you as a journalist? If it does, then I qualify on the strength of having, over the years, four letter printed on the Telegraph letters page. One of them concerned Boris Johnson and The Railway Children. 😁

For me, a journalist was someone who had obtained an NCTJ qualification and who had worked on newspaper as a reporter. A columnist isn't a journalist, nor is a diarist (unless the above criteria had been met) ... But I think all of that is out of the window now. James didn't even bother with shorthand ... maybe that's why he likes Harry Windsor so much, both seem to have carved out careers without being actually qualified to do them. :rolleyes: Am I bitter? duck YES!! (no, not really ... although I did do shorthand, but failed the exam with flying colours). Waaagh!!

It's my go to show on a sunday morning. Hope Theo get a slot on TR, there's an awful lot of dross on there at the moment
 
I don’t know why, his chosen government are making a right mess of this. Yvette Cooper waffling on this morning, lots of “let me be clear” then saying absolutely nothing.

Strongly suspect there‘s been some sort of appeal by the government to media outlets to do everything they can to quell this unrest. NF was not prepared to entertain any opinion that suggested that immigrant communities are playing their own part in violence and actively closed a caller down when he mentioned Leeds “let’s keep it to the events of this weekend”. Why? Can’t he see that the reason some people are pissed off is the slow build of apparent disparity in how different groups are treated in these situations? And now, bizarrely, on Talk Alex Philips who is about as right wing as you can get and regularly rabble rousing against immigrants is appealing for people to stay home tonight and not get involved.

Weird stuff going on.

I was hoping he'd ask her about the Muslim Defense League, an organised mob of black-clad, weapon waving Asian men who were running loose in (I think) Bolton last night. She kept on about 'thuggery'; they were giving a textbook demonstration of it last night.

The problem for Jimbo is that according to him the problems were caused by the "evil Tories" being useless and now "the adults are in the room"

Now we see Yvette Cooper being interviewed on ITV by her own husband! GB News was apparently awful by using people from the same party according to Jimbo.

Plus her waffling is not surprise from her past history in government.
 
Rachel Johnson did two hours on the riots last night and was excellent - calm, reasoned discussion as always. She is easily my favourite female LBC presenter, Matt Frei being top of my pops on the boys' team. Who are yours? Just one female and one male please...
 
"Clearly" is the politicians' favourite word when they are waffling.

I'm not a regular listener to any of the current female presenters although I used to like Vanessa on Radio London. Many years ago I enjoyed Jane Moore doing the breakfast show with John Nicholson. On the male side, I have, with the occasional temporary digression, been faithful to Nick Ferrari.
