Rachel Johnson did two hours on the riots last night and was excellent - calm, reasoned discussion as always. She is easily my favourite female LBC presenter, Matt Frei being top of my pops on the boys' team. Who are yours? Just one female and one male please...

I'll stick with Shelagh. She annoys me sometimes but on the whole I find her quite measured and sensible.

I did used to like Julia Hartley Brewer when she first joined LBC. Then she went all shock jock and extreme. I have yet to hear Vanessa on LBC.

Nick Abbot is my favourite male presenter.

As for female presenters I do not have any current ones but my mum used to regularly listen to one who often used the phrase "boys and girls of the armed forces" I am sure many of you can recall her....

Who was the one in the afternoons ... Alison Bell? I liked her. She was going out with James Hewitt and they both got arrested for cocaine? She did a great feature about 'things on toast' every day ..... LBC was a very different creature back then

I remember Cristo having a saturday evening show during which he'd do a running commentary on Strictly performances, never quite sure what his qualifications were. Whatever, it was still miles better than Natasha Devon.

Saturday night was Lucy Beresford's Sex and Relationships show. Her saying 'I've never tried anal sex but I hear it can be painful' will stay with me forever.

Nick Abbot probably my favourite, at least he does a different type of show, with some humour thrown in, if LBC gave Simon Marks a show I'd tune in.
I rarely listen when the female presenters are on just due to the time slots they have but I'd say Fogarty is a very professional presenter.

No surprise. I've noticed quite a few people who pop up in the media who have overshared their own mental health issues wrongly believe that makes them some sort of expert in the area. It's part of the illness and part of the delusion. Let's hope for the sake of those people affected by the tragedy no one takes him up on his offer. It's dangerous and irresponsible. It's very similar to people who label themselves as 'experts' or 'guru's' when they are nothing of the sort. The corporate media are more than happy to play along if it provides content. It's quite sickening.

Is Jimbo still on Twitter? I've said it before, but I just cannot see how he can justify supporting Musk's disinformation machine. That's probably the main reason why I have such little respect for him. It's pretty obvious now that Musk wants to watch the world burn (for whatever weird reason), I don't see how anyone can support that position and also present as a liberal person. It makes no sense.

She was hilarious. She only did a few months in the afternoon slot. Perhaps her stories like the one when she was sunbathing nude on her balcony, accidentally locked herself out and had to call the fire brigade were a bit racy for LBC.
One of the regulars on Chit-chat was devastated when she left and started the BBB (bring back Bell) movement! Can't remember who.

Ian Payne totally blinkered this morning. He did the LB Serious at 6am re the riots and the usual rhetoric all far right blah blah. A caller said his friends in USA have decided not to make their planned visit next week and Ian was aghast at this and the guy accused Ian of being flippant. He then read out messages from other listeners saying the same in that he was flippant and pointing out what happened in Birmingham last night and the Sky reporter incident. Ian said he has not seen anything re Birmingham but had seen the Sky reporter getting heckled. The footage of all these are all over X for everyone to see so I find it very strange that Ian is a so called journalist and has no knowledge of these incidents?

Ian's a sports journalist. He could tell you who won the 1969 Cup Final, who scored and what the ref. had for breakfast but, yes, he can be a bit vague on general news. And the Birmingham incident was only reported on X. Even Sky News cut the incident with their reporter being harassed from their broadcast. There seems to be a consensus by the mainstream media to play down negative involvement by anybody other than so-called hard right,

They constantly do that to one of their regulars but he doesn't rise to it. They went a bit too far this morning, he hinted suing them for libel and the mods stepped in.

The more accurate term for people like him is 'useful idiot'. Once he's found his bandwagon, he'll believe anything that fits his and their agenda. It saves him having to think for himself.
