LBC Chit Chat #15

Probably wants everyone to know he hasn’t gone private.
Why would he be kept on an A&E ward if he’s not an emergency anymore? Such a self important pillock.

3.3m per week listen to LBC now, the great Save Sangita #Boycott LBC campaign failed to gain any momentum.

The only LBC'er Global seem to be bragging about is Nick Ferrari. It will be very interesting to see how LBC fairs now we have a new government.

I'd love to know in more detail how some of the others do but we only ever seem to hear about Nick and James.

Radio stations only talk about the good bits when the figures come out, so moving the focus Nick Ferrari tells us that he is their best story which suggests that James is slipping.

I think he has his sights set on Mt Vesuvius next door.
😬
Poor Iain has had his share of pain of late with three hospital stays and resultant loss of income. And there is likely to be more financial pain if he can't fulfil his Edinburgh commitments. My sympathies are with him, gall bladder and stones issues are very uncomfortable.

Jobby's leave coincides with yet another UK crisis..He would have had a field day with the Far Right rioting and Islamophobia.

I would imagine Iain Dale will be told to lose weight and join the waiting list for any potential gallbladder removal op...Like most long suffering NHS patients.

UPDATE: Might as well be honest. Blood test results are nowhere they need to be and infection/inflamation needs to be reduced more speedily so I’m in here for at least another day. But Edinburgh shows WILL go ahead. More details on that tomorrow. And thank you to the staff in the SSSU in Tunbridge Wells who have cared for me so well today.

I think he'll live.

I always remember Steve Allen talking about Iain's diabetes and Steve saying 'his numbers are worse than mine' .... Iain really isn't in the best of health is he?

I wonder if Iain is listening with his ear pods to Simon Marks
😬

Considering he seems to have spent many years not caring what was put inside of his body it's no real surprise is it. You can read that whichever way you want to. 😬🐶

My guess is that he'll have booked a mate, perhaps Jacqui Smith, as a stand in host in case he's not able.

He'll be worried about his job if he is. Simon's a very good listen.

An interesting hour about Russia & Putin with John Sweeney, a few years ago he made a good tv documentary about life in North Korea.
I believe Simon also did an hour on Alexi Navalny last night with the prisoner release as a hook. Both are on my Listen Again list.

Ian Payne should write a book about his love life. He was talking again about the date he went on with a woman who was 4 hours late and by the time she got there he was so pissed he couldn't function. Then he was talking about an ex who wanted to get back with him and he thought about it until he remembered her camping outside his front door and him locked inside. 🤣

I'm glad I caught this. I got so sick of the 'Andy Murray has retired' love-in on all the other channels I put LBC on. Sweeney does tend to prattle-on, but it's interesting stuff and he's clearly well respected, plus he's able to articulate himself in a very non-patronising informative way. The questions were pretty good too. Sweeney seems like a bit of a loose-cannon too, which I like.
