Says it all really ... as I say, two-faced.

Who wasn't a journalist? Piers? More of a journalist than James would ever be. At least his showbiz column was a huge success. I think being the youngest editor of National newspaper is quite an achievement too. All James has done is stay at LBC for 20 years because he knows he's got nothing else to offer the world.

Love him or hate him ( I actually like him) he's absolutely right to say Harry's got a cheek talking about honesty when Harry's done nothing but lie spread misinformation and throw their family under the bus to make money.

No, James was saying he (himself) wasn't a 'professional journalist', implying that he couldn't POSSIBLY be held to the same standards of a 'REAL' journalist. It seems James is a serious journalist when it suits him and is just a gobshite when it doesn't. That's what I mean by being two-faced. :) We're supposed to take his views seriously when he talks about Brexit, but not seriously when he labels people 'thick as mince'. Ridiculous man.

I've noticed that. He so far up his own fundament he forgets what he is 🤣

I haven't listened to James for an about 3 weeks now. It's very good for the blood pressure.

I think Piers has got it spot on with Harry and Markle. Their behaviour has been odious. I don't feel sorry for him at all.

I am no fan of Piers Morgan but I agree he has been right about the Sussexes. However Harry's mobile should not have been hacked especially when he was a boy.

In a way this shows where Jimbo goes wrong by piling in 100%. Sometimes a story has nuance. I do not like Harry but hacking his phone is still wrong.

Matt Frei's first hour on this today was superb. First class calls and highly informed guests, the best of whom was a young (at the time) journalist with the Mirror who was given the job of hacking pin codes to access the voicemails of famous people.

Hacking has been going on for decades. Remember Diana and the Sqidgy tape?. It's wrong but shouldn't these celebs who've been hacked have learned to be more discreet in their use of mobiles?

Hi Maggie,

If I remember correctly, Squidgygate was the result of someone with a scanner who was either very clever or had a lucky day happening on a royal conversation. I would imagine such calls are done on secure circuits these days.

The more recent 'phone hacking was achieved by working out mobile 'phone pin codes to access voicemails. The journalist on with Matt Frei (at about 10:35) said he was given lists of possible codes and permutations including birth dates, the sorts of things many of us tend to use. He was told by the editor that that was how journalism worked.

Both were intrusive, but I would say hacking a password to deliberately break into someone's phone was considerably more serious than picking up a signal broadcast on the public airwaves.

I agree. No way do I condone the hacking. I also think Morgan knew.

At that time it was a dog eat dog to get stories. Always has been, always will and just about everyone was doing it. A different form of routing through dustbins.

I think the problem with Harry is that he has killed any goodwill and sympathy he should be receiving.

I've never listened to her. Currently I don't listen at all at weekends, apart from half an hour in the morning to catch up on the news. With a couple of exceptions, it's two days of ranting lefties.
