No doubt Jobby will do at least two hours on the Covid Inquiry but, knowing how much he loves a sob story, he must be tempted to squeeze in 'McDonald's cleaner soaks homeless man's bed'. He can do his moist, wobbly voice with callers with similar stories. Ian covered it this morning and was surprised at the lack of sympathy from some callers!

The Right Wing Media. Think Tanks. Buy my book. Day after bleeping day of this drivel. Can't LBC find someone else for FUCKS SAKE. Arrgh. Click Off.

Aw, that's rather sweet. He must be winning over some of the 'spikers'. Let's hope there's a few bottles of Prosecco coming his way. 🥳

I do wonder if Ian is turning into Steve or his listeners are trying to turn him into Steve ....Christian The Lion got a mention on Ian's show the other day !!

He seems to have been accepted by the spikers and I think it's a winning formula to just let them have an hour or so light hearted nonsense.
Ian did mention the other day about management won't let them go passed the first hour before getting serious. I wonder if that was part of the issue with Steve in that they just wanted a more serious show? I still think they handled the whole situation very badly with Steve. If they wanted him out then they could have said you've got 2 months and then you're retiring. Give him a proper send off.

I still think it was a health issue. If you recall, he was back and forth to the hospital around that time, and he still seems to spend a lot of time there. Perhaps it was a case of their not wanting to keep finding someone to fill in at short notice.

Ian must have his fingers in his ears. He has covered this subject quite a few times recently and always gets callers/texts with stories of good people trying to help the homeless but for some, they simply do not want help. Ian just does not be able to accept this at all despite many different stories from people who have tried to help.

Yeah, I heard the last two ... one guy said McDonald's should had offered the homeless person a job. The other suggested McDonald's may have made another person homeless by sacking him (bit far fetched) and that if the homeless person had PTSD why would he sleep outside of a McDonald's rather than find somewhere quiet and peaceful. Not much sympathy, as you say ... I think a lot of people are generally pissed-off about everything.

Some people have very black and white thinking but homelessness is an absolute grey. Whilst I'd never say 'it's lifestyle choice' it's definitely more complicated than just giving someone a job! I saw a homeless guy a few weeks ago in a doorway with a dog. He was chatting away to a passerby who was patting the dog and the guy said his son had got him the dog and his mobile phone. He also mentioned a granddaughter and I was genuinely intrigued as to what his story was as he obviously had family keeping an eye on him.

Did anyone hear Ian the other day talking about dreary National Anthems? He was most put out when the producers wouldn't let him play the Russian one. He couldn't see what the problem was. 🤣

He was asked to move on but refused. Said he had PTSD and ADHD so obviously a complex case. I'm sure he'll benefit from this exposure at least for a while.

I've as much sympathy for the person who lost his job. I suppose McDonalds didn't have any choice once the pictures were on social media. It's not a particularly nice job, without some dosser giving you grief because you've asked him to move over so you can get on with it.
