What about the politicians who didn't just ignore it but tried to sweep it under the carpet?

The next big scandal that's been going on decades 😔
Just been listening to a lady who's been involved in bringing the victims justice for years being interviewed on talk TV. Hundreds of girls in many cities up and down the country. The authorities enabled those peeedos.

Nick will enjoy this. Jobby won't mention it. Has he covered the Rochdale report yet?

Last time I tuned in to James it was: "What's the worst thing Donald Trump has done?". At this point comparing Jimbo to Jeremy Kyle is actually a compliment.

Unless there's bile to be spewed onto Tories or there's a Brexit blame to shoehorn in, he doesn't give a shiny sh1t.
It makes a pleasant change to find someone in the media prepared to speak out against this stuff as you won’t find a word against it in the Telegraph, Mail, Express, Sun and Times.

James O’Brien is having a field day today. Not that it is hard to make fun of some of the most ridiculous politicians to disgrace Parliament but listening him to dissect the likes of Anderson, Rees-Mogg and Coffey is a joy. Can we also start using the word “sniggle” more frequently?
Despite a constant display of total incompetence, people still vote for these jokers. Probably the same people who like to dig at O’Brien for holding a mirror up to them.
I am of a generation who use to laugh at Spitting Image for the way it turned our politicians in caricatures. The people we have running the country now are caricatures and parodies of themselves. Thank god for James O’Brien and the likes of Private Eye. Without them we might forget that the likes of Trump, Johnson, Truss and most of the Tory Party are the norm and not the abnormal.

Yeah, I suppose it's entertainment for the simple-minded. Ultimately it's lazy radio and it doesn't really achieve much in the long-run because Tory voters who might be persuaded to vote for another party are turned-off by being belittled by a wealthy man who lives in a gated-community. Still, whatever rocks yer boat!

Wow! I only find time to read one newspaper a day.
The front pages of national newspapers get splashed across the rest of the media daily. I used to work in the print and if you only see the front page (which many people do if not through the media/social media then when they are out shopping) then you are deemed to have read it. There is a reason the biggest headlines in the newspapers are on the front page.

What rocks my boat is supporting the very few outlets across the media in this country who call out the state of this country and the people who have and are causing it. You have a cheap dig at O’Brien, how about the likes of Murdoch, Dacre, the backers of GB News etc. There are many more super rich people using their money to influence the people of this country and the people who run this country, but let’s just focus on James O’Brien. If you think it is entertainment for the simple minded, most of his listeners didn’t fall for the lies about Brexit, especially the one in the side of a bus. I agree that it is entertaining. It is entertaining listening to him dismantle those arguing in defence of the indefensible and exposing the gammons for what they are. I agree that those who should be listening to him don’t, perhaps they might end up questioning why they have been so blinkered. Too busy reading the Daily Mail I guess.

There needs to be more “woke” people on the radio. To quote Kathy Burke, “I love being woke. It’s much nicer than being an ignorant f*cking tw*t.”

Kathy Burke has made a career out of being foul mouthed and playing the same character (herself) in everything she’s appeared in.
James O’Brien has made a career out of being a champagne socialist presenting the same tired old radio programme with the same tired old opinions for two decades.

Poor James. He literally cannot get another gig can he.

But what pleasure can you possibly get from listening to someone who has had the benefit of a great education belittling people who probably haven't and thus struggle to articulate themselves live on national radio across a dodgy phone-line? It's just tit.

This is one of my biggest gripes with James. Others do it too but he is by far the worst offender. There have been times when James has been arguing with a caller and he will pick up on something minuscule and tie someone in knots with it. More than once I've found myself shouting at the radio saying 'you know what they're trying to say, don't be a dick'.

The other thing presenters do, and Ferrari is quite bad for this, is the 'yes or no' thing. They will demand a yes or no answer from a caller where the caller clearly feels it's not that simple. In the end the caller says 'yes but' and the presenters goes ' there you have it!!' and you don't get to hear the callers explanation as to why they came to that conclusion.

It's all looking for snippets for their LBC social media feed on how they taken down a caller or guest.

It is bullying, and it says a lot about people who say they enjoy it, never mind the casual racism
The other problem with James O'Brien is his misogyny as he cannot wait to attack successful women. He comes across as very jealous when he does so.

Some people never recover from going to an all boys school and he is one of them. One day we may really find out what happened between him and his ex-producer Ava Santina as there seems to be little love lost between them.
