Interview with Ferrari in next week's Radio Times. On Jobby: 'Candidly, I don't think we'd ever go on holiday together but we respect each other's opinions.' 🤭

For those that sneer and think JOB is looking down his nose at Ferrari. Nice to know the contempt is mutual. Ferrari has been there, done it and got the t shirt ... James has never left the safety of his LBC studio.

Horses for courses and all that. They appeal to a different audience.

OMG I'm triggered. We've been bombing Yemen for the last 20 years and NOW it makes news? duck SAKE. We've been selling arms to Saudi to bomb Yemen for years. Every 5 minutes a child dies there through these attacks. Our news media bleeping RIDCULOUS. Obama's illegal drone strikes in Yemen never got coverage like this.

RANT OVER. As you were.

The trouble with being a news junkie is that you're constantly having to update your general knowledge of world politics and geography. A couple of years ago I vaguely knew that Ukraine was in eastern Europe and and had problems with the Russians. I now know exactly where it is, the major cities and it's recent political history. Then last October, after years of bafflement about the whole of the Middle East, I had to get to grips with Israel and Palestine. Now it's Yemen. I woke up to hear that the Brits and Yanks are exchanging pot shots with something called the Hooties. The who? Sounds like a new kids' cartoon or a Scottish folk band. Oh, it's Houthis, with a silent H. I thought that was an African tribe. Oh well, back to Google. In the meantime LBC's switchboard is going to be jammed with excitable foreigners who want to tell us what happened hundreds of years ago to kick of their grudge against whoever they think is responsible, and who refuse to engage in sensible conversation with whichever unlucky presenter happens to be on air. o_O

I definitely think Jobby took the huff. I think he's like Sadiq Khan, they refuse to engage with anyone who disagrees with them. He was probably fuming that LBC invited him. Very odd working there that long but never inviting an open debate. The other presenters do.

Wasn't his argument for staying at LBC, even though he hated Farage and Hopkins working there, that he thought it important to balance things and put the truth out there? Thankgod for James.

Surely not Derek's?.

Come off it.......No way would he be enTICED away from his own show for a funeral without giving the nation due warning and the chance to prepare themselves for His Absence.

Matthew Wright has been changed to Paul Brand for Sat/Sun breakfast. LBC seems to be struggling with this slot. Maybe they're still keeping the seat warm for Andrew Castle?
Brand is a bit meh but he doesn't make me leap for the off switch. Iain Dale in for Lammy tomorrow.

I like PB because he's respectful and softly spoken yet he knows his stuff. Wasn't he the one that unearthed Partygate?

Vorderman's 4pm debut tomorrow is being trumpeted..Who next? Russell Brand?
