Because it’s during the current trial that the details of the domestic abuse allegations became most exposed to the public. The U.K. trial wasn’t against Amber and it wasn’t publicly televised.

my point is that it isn’t *just* people saying that her behaviour is a bit odd, there’s a lot of vitriol aimed at her. Theres name calling. Theres disinformation on the trial itself being spread on social media. Johnny Depp is being weird too during the trial but there isn’t the same level of hatred or aggression towards him.

I’m saying it isn’t *just* misogyny but it’s undeniable that there are misogynistic elements to it

I get you but that's pretty standard for the media especially online. She is not being treated differently to any other celebrities who have done horrible things, except maybe it's magnified due to the magnitude of the case. There's loads of male celebs been treated like this.

People are vitriolic towards her because she literally tried to ruin JDs life and is STILL trying to do so. Her behaviour is abominable and people are responding to that in kind. I don't condone nastiness.

I mean social media as well as MSM.

I’m struggling to think of male celebs who’ve been exposed to the level of vitriol at the same level. The kind of celeb trials at this level especially, and I’m struggling. For example when Weinstein was outtted as an abuser I don’t recall an outpouring of rage or vitriol aimed at him. OJ got a book deal.

for every male celebrity who is given a tough time in the press (Raheem Stirling, George Michael, Zac Efron), their female counterparts seem to get torn apart absolutely relentless to an even worse degree (Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson, Janet Jackson etc etc).
