Jessie Cave #3 Can't successfully end a project, or a toxic relationship

To be fair, what’s keeping Jessie in London? She doesn’t see anyone but her mum and sister, and she’s always got her kids cramped up in rental flats or carting them around on trains.

If her mum’s going with her, it sounds like a good idea. Bebe would probably benefit from a bit of distance too perhaps. London is just a train ride away after all.

Have either of them addressed what caused their most recent breakup?
I think I remember Alfie saying they broke up because he didn’t want to be monogamous anymore. He said it takes both people choosing to be exclusive and “it feels good to fck” or something like that. The link is on here somewhere way back. Then he got canceled for a bit and went crawling back to her smh.

I listened to the Have a Word podcast, good God it was long, but it was interesting hearing Alfie being all defiant "Jessie doesn't get a choice" regarding his potential future beard removal vs him talking about how Jessie wants him to lose weight. I feel like whenever I listen to Alfie he talks about his weight, and wonder about the food dynamic in their home. She's obviously weird about eating and he sounds very body conscious.

She wants him to what? He is as thin and frail as a 14 year old boy. I always wonder, that someone over 30, who is as thin as Alfie must have an eating disorder or other health issues (or be a marathon runner, which we know he is not.)

I think the house is in Huyton which is like a suburb of Liverpool, about a half an hour drive to the city centre, Alfie drives and has a car, on the podcast I was listening to he was talking about buying a "sensible people carrier", there's also train links to the centre for Jessie who doesn't drive. I wonder if Alfie and Jessie will still have separate bedrooms / whether part of the deal is they'll have another baby / whether the spare room is for guests / Jessie's mum. A 7-bed house seems like a lot of upkeep... Also will they send the kids to private school, as both Jessie and Alfie were privately educated.

Oh god I grew up near Huyton, all my family still live in the area, I can't see Jessie doing well here its a safe and pleasant enough patch of liverpool but is very working class honest people earning a living in vibes rather than Jessie's bohemian earth mother with a big trust fund vibe. If she does want to send the kids to private school it'll be a hell of a bus journey for them all.

are we looking at the same guy 🤨 he's not obese but he's not rail-thin either, I imagine he just eats crap / drinks too much / doesn't do enough exercise and wants to be fitter and healthier. Honestly, more than his weight, I wish a barber would sort his hair and beard out, he'd look so much better!

yeah, I was quite surprised reading that. He doesn’t look very overweight to me but definitely puffy and bloated - probably from alcohol

On the pod he said that he would only remove his beard if he lost two stone, and while Jessie doesn’t get to say whether he should keep the beard or not, she would definitely like him to lose the weight. He doesn’t look like he has two stone on him to lose (to me, who definitely has!).

Have you seen his legs? Stickly thin.

Alfie looks normal weight in the last story she posted but it’s quite obvious Jessie and her family have issues with weight, which may explain it. I can imagine she’s the type of person to be sickened by a bit of extra flab.

I feel bad for her that she seems to have a miserable and complicated attitude towards food, it seems exhausting.

Didn't think I'd ever feel bad for Alfie in this relationship but that's messed up if she's making him insecure about his weight.

Also it's odd if it's true that she's repulsed by the slightest bit of flab- afaik most people with food/weignt issues tend to focus on themselves and are not nearly so hard on other people. Her issues really do run deep

He’s aged and looks like the drink and lifestyle has caught up but he’s not overweight. She doesn’t seem able to deal with the passage of time and getting older she probably still thinks of him as that young lad she fell for. He probably thinks he is too.

are you sure you're not thinking of Alfie Brown circa ten years ago?? he has a bit of a "dad bod" now
For some reason, might be the cut of his jeans? I always got the impression of him having very thin legs. What might also help is his rather narrow frame in general, which lets him appear rather slender, although having a slight dad bod?
Ok enough of Alfie Brown’s body now. You were right though.
