Double that trigger warning, please! Folks, be careful. This can't be 'unseen'. It's worse (in my opinion) than just about anything Tiffany has put out--including the romp in the green Irish pastures.
This has seriously altered my opinion of Kyle! :) (to the tune of just plain weird.)

I’m still howling with laughter here, he’s deranged in that clip 😄

I have a different perspective: I think this video was one of the better ones since Jenny has been on oxygen. She and Kyle both seemed upbeat, and, amazingly, she has 20/20 vision! Kyle mentioned he had bad vision instead. They were organized and mentally prepared for the long day of tests and scans. At the end of a busy day like that, it is normal to be tired. Also, I don't know if there is a heat wave there or not, but extreme heat is also fatiguing. Kyle mentioned that the car got quite hot while they were filming.
Actually, I got the impression Jenny's body is very resilient and resistant. Other people might be worse off than she is with the same diagnosis. I was surprised that Jenny was able to complete the day of scans without quitting and saying she is too tired to continue.

This was my general takeaway as well.

Interesting how we can all "see" different things based on our own experiences, history, and biases. Always fascinating to read such wildly divergent opinions here!

I think her problem will be if she has the bad reaction to the new clinical trial. She seems to always have a bad reaction to all the treatments.

At least they both seemed very upbeat and pleasant and not as much anxiety and complaining. Seemed like an improvement to me. She was tired but also pretty stoned.

I think you're all nicer human beings than me!
No you just haven't been emotionally trapped by the drama.

Do you think there is a chance some of the weakness is from over medication and not having rehab after her hospital stay? We don’t see everything that is going on, but very surprised Kyle and Jenny are not screaming at anyone to build up Jenny’s strength.
You made two excellent points here. "We only know what they show" and why isn't she having OT or physio to build up her physical strength, that's a great question.
---
My sister just told me about her son's friend's 70 year old grandmother, who was in perfect health until she recently had shortness of breath and went to the hospital. She was diagnosed with a malignant pleural effusion and a Pleurx was placed before she was discharged. A home health nurse came by to show her how to drain the effusion. I wonder why Jenny had to suffer so long before her Pleurx was placed. As for the 70 year old patient the docs have been unable to determine her primary site of cancer. She is having a PET scan sometime this week which will read stat so that her oncologist has the results for her appt later that day. But back to my question, I wonder why Jenny's Pleurx was not placed earlier, I wonder if that would have prevented the months of pain she endured as well as prevent the current loculation.
@Saydee kept asking about that also for a long time, it might have been on the TT thread though.
---
Agreed. I even thought that some people on this thread are doing this to take the "heat" off Tiffany. Perhaps they are mad that Jenny is loved by many whilst their girl, Tiffany, is so despised. I don't know. Like you said, some people seem to be searching hard for something to demonise Jenny with and they are hoping others will join. They are failing as most people on here are rational and fair.
We can be rational and fair and also have a different opinion.
---
Yes that's fantastic. I have always wished for Tiffany's viewers to abandon her and go to Jenny who deserves the following. Yes she also gets Tiffany's "we got this" crazies but what can we do ...
Serious question:
Let's just say in a hypothetical world that Jenny makes a full and miraculous recovery just like Tiffany did. Will you and others hang around to watch Jenny and Kyles day in the life videos, "Get ready with me" "Day in the life of a stay at home Mum" "Cook VEGAN dinner with me" "What we got our kids for Christmas" videos? And do you think that they will get 200k views on each of those videos?? The answer is NO none of you will so be honest with yourself are you really "supporting" Jenny (even though only her bank account knows you exist) or are you just watching and invested in the drama? If Tiffany taught us anything it's that people just like to watch deathbed chronicles, they don't genuinely care about Tiffany or Jenny and will move onto the next suffering soul if Jenny was to fully recover.

I don't actually know although I very seldom ever unsubscribe to anyone. I have people that won't post for years and then one day there they are again. I am not a big Disney fan nor am I vegan but I wouldn't mind the once in awhile video of Kyle in a pastel colored athleisure outfit belting out It's Raining Men.

Whilst most people was watching Tiffany and getting completely far too involved and talking complete nonsense (as in : Tiffany is dying but doesn’t know it but they might have told Amma, Tiffany is gonna die in the table if she goes ahead, Tiffany has cachexia) and all the other complete nonsense…. I had been following Jenny since she was diagnosed. Mainly because my husband and Jenny was on the same projectory, similar cancer symptoms and both stage 4 incurable. Tiffany and Jenny are complete different stages, one had a curative shot and the other zero. Worlds apart.
I sometimes regret mentioning Jenny on the Tiffany thread because it did cause a lot of Tiffany’s crazies to go leaving stupid ‘We got this ‘nonsense on Jenny’s videos.
Unfortunately many do compare them both and it’s wrong. Jenny is dying , no radical surgeries for Jenny. Tiffany was very very lucky, but her fans still tore the NHS to shreds.
And this is why I don’t think stage 4 cancer journeys fit well on YouTube. People will get emotional about a video they have watched on a channel and then openly attack a fellow human being on here?
upset because Jenny is dying but will argue with someone else not knowing if they may be dying too?
What you are seeing on Jenny’s channel is a woman dying, yet there is literally millions in homes , hospitals and hospices all over the country right now. I hope people’s hearts breaks for each and everyone of them. Sadly I don’t believe so. It’s a YouTube thing, emotionally attached to a stranger.
Jenny isn’t happy and in controlled and tired because she went to a couple of appointments.Jenny is out affected by opioids. She is tired because her lungs are failing. Her lungs and heart sacs are filling up with cancer fluid.
Jenny will not see Christmas 2024 if disease isn’t managed.
Scan results? Who cares? She is draining out cancer fluid every other day but some are hoping for good scan results? Errr is a scan even needed? These are pre trial scans, what are viewers looking for?
Either what I am seeing is all a big illusion, or Kyle is filming his highly medicated dying wife laying on a sofa in pain with her eyes shut. Is this what money does to people?

Noo, I would not. I skip through most of such already. I don't think that necessarily means that I don't care about her. It just means I'm not interested in banal content. I am invested (I now don't watch every single video but just here and there) in Jenny's cancer journey, just like I was interested in Emily's or Romee's. It's medical stuff, it's interesting. I watch Maggie's content for the same reason, interesting medical stuff. And Maggie's stuff does not fall under what you call "deathbed chronicles".
I never watch these people in order to "support them". What does that even mean? I watch because something in their content interests me. At the same time, I usually feel for them (if they are suffering) and hope for the best for them. I think people do care about these youtubers going through cancer. There are many who post words of advise to them or encouragement. Lots of people, medical people included, were concerned with Tiffany's decision to watch and wait. They wrote to her because they genuinely cared. If they did not care, they would not bother.

Actually I do care about all the other people dying from cancer. I don't know their personal stories because they had the God given sense not to spread it all over the internet to get some extra cash to spend at Target.

Every appointment I have at my cancer center I am both thankful for my excellent treatment but heart broken for the others in such worse shape waiting to get what might be devastating news.

Do I feel like a cheap voyeur watching the Cancer Tubers? Yes, actually I often do. I also watch art youtubers, and van lifers, and Filipino women working in Japan, and a bajillion pet videos. It's entertainment and it's sad that the cancer folks and birth defect kids are on You Tube but they are and that's just the sad reality of life in 2023.

I've thought about this ever since I stumbled onto TT, found my way to Tattle and was introduced to many other cancer challengers whom I have had occasion to follow and now participate in the ensuing discussions here. I've asked myself if this was good for me or bad for me. And why did I want to. I was not even aware that there was such a thing as cancer vloggers until TT. Oh, how naive I was!

I don't see myself as a grief tourist so much as wanting to root for the underdog. I've sometimes wondered if those with the most vociferous negative opinions aren't plants trying to sway public opinion by making the main person being railed against into a victimised underdog. We DO have a natural inclination to want to root for the underdog.

I do find myself wanting the best for those struggling with cancer. In the case of BB, I found my allegiance turning to Tattlers when he chose to reveal them and to those whom he threatened. He exemplifies so many characteristics I find repugnant and contrary to the greater good. His hubris gets under my skin. I abhor bullies.

I do want to check in periodically on the success stories to know they are well and happy in their 2nd chance at life. I left TTland a long time ago when I saw her shameless efforts to capitalise off her surgery after the fact and draw out her experience with as many videos as she could. But, I do still check in on Tattle as I have a remote interest in hearing how her life unfolds. Will she marry Matt or run off with an Irish sheep? Will he win a triathalon or continue to allow TT to pick out his footwear? Will they start their own line of TT air fryers (click coupon link below)?

I am not subscribed to anyone. If Jenny passes, I would still periodically like to know how Kyle and the kids are doing moving forward. In that respect, it is a bit like reality tv or celebrities; when someone is off a show, I do Google their name occasionally to see how they are, what's new, etc. Tattle is a way for us to come together to discuss. It actually keeps me more engaged than I would otherwise be as I find the discussion here, the intelligence, the thoughtful and quick witted people and the variety of perspectives compelling and informative, each adding to my own.

I have learned a lot. I respect if someone shares their personal journey and do feel my views translate into support for them. They know people care and want to follow their difficult path, want to know how they are.

Sadly many don’t! They don’t give two hoots about fellow human beings.
I know of a man that’s got a few months prognosis. He follows Jenny and asked a simple question on her channel. The usual crazies leapt on his post , acting all protective of Jenny, yet he is probably in a worse situation than Jenny. Jenny doesn’t need ‘protecting’, no need for the knights in shining armour to attack others. It happened with Tiffany’s channel too.
Even attacking Tiffany because she’s left her channel to go volunteer and contribute to the care of other cancer patients?
On the subject of scan results, deliberately with holding scan results to viewers? It doesn’t matter what the results are, Jenny has a pleurex drain fitted. I get the impression that many of Jenny’s subscribers don’t realise malignant fluid is end stage in her journey. No scan result is going to change that so why a big drama about results? I don’t understand.
If it is a case of now requiring a YouTube income then I wish I had the money to give them NOT to have to spend time making and editing videos.
Previous bloggers did videos on their terms, if they felt well, whenever they wanted, and now cancer vlogger viewers will get upset/worried if a video isn’t put out for a few days?

I was thinking that I find it very hard to watch a dying and suffering person on youtube. I cannot watch some of Jenny's videos because of this and could not watch Joe Platter's last few videos at all. Too much suffering and it breaks my heart. I could barely watch Tiffany's initial after surgery vlog. On one hand, yes, this is the reality of cancer but on the other hand, do we need to see it and what purpose does it serve? Is it helpful to the dying and the suffering to be seen like this?

I am drawn to stories in whatever format about overcoming or living joyfully with adversity. The cancer vlogs pull me in. However, I find it difficult to watch the vlogs when a vlogger’s end is near. Since, I am so invested in the person’s journey I am drawn to watch, but wish there were only written updates not videos. It is each vloggers personal choice on what they want to doz. I do believe when they are healthier and start the vlogs it is for mostly educational purposes and they don’t think about how difficult it will be to continue should their health become grave.
