She's absolutely ruined the word 'sublime' for me. Next time I see it in the wild god help any local radiators.

QMLAN but I'm barking like a laryngetical (diagnosed) hyena at the notion of a domlime whipping a sublime. I'm off to bed.

A guy at work years ago said “Yeah you can probably tell I’m a bit of a film buff mate”. Turned out he was only interested in recent Hollywood movies what had soldiers in them 🫡
Anyway, getting a lot of Big Andy energy off Jack absolutely adoring every film she’s seen at the Odeon this month.
I once worked somewhere with a guy who claimed to be a computer expert etc and once was having trouble with his mouse. I had to point out that he didn’t have it plugged in (and it was one of those usb things that went in the front so even someone technological illiterate like me spotted it)

Christ she's annoying.

"We all" duck OFF
"I'm so edgy for laughing at a joke" duck OFF

Also this was a surprise screening. Cineworld also did it as a surprise screening. It was not packed out because everyone wanted to see Kneecap, you bleeping moron. It was packed out cos everyone was hoping it would be Alien Romulus. dgmw I'm glad to have seen Kneecap but I didn't go in the hope that that was what it would be

her opinions have been irritating mecall day, too. Let's have a look

Twisters is actually really, really good, but not because it makes you want to be a meteorologist/storm chaser/ engineer. It's really good because it's well written for once and because the performances are great and because Glen Powell is fantastic and I love him

"Graphs" duck OFF
"Impulsively" duck OFF. these people dedicate their lives to this stuff you idiot

Despicable me was fine but as always just cod minions are funny and there's a lot of pratfalls

Longlegs was not the instant classic I was wanting, and most of the reason for that was cage. She's an idiot

I didn't see Nye because although I love Michael Sheen I'm kind of fed up of seeing him play real people. Also I believe it was one of those NT live performances, not a film, you bleeping thick twit

Also I suspect she's just doing this "ken loach based all his films on me" thing again here. Oh it's about Bevan so I have to go on and on about it to show how Left I am

Deadpool & Wolverine is also very good. I gotta give her that.

Edgily bark laughing at a joke about an attempt to kill Margaret Thatcher?

Especially when so many of the "independent" cinemas are ultimately owned by one of the big companies, anyway - see the fake independent Picturehouse mini-chain in London which is now ultimately owned by the same people as Cineworld, only with worse (much worse) pay & conditions for their staff.

Saying that, I grew up down the road from the magnificent Strand in Belfast, and then spent several years living beside the Hyde Park Picture House in Leeds - both were cheap and brilliant, and are owned and operated by charities. So if you're lucky enough to have one nearby, do use them!

I lived behind the Picture House in Leeds for a year. You've had two lucky escapes! There are some good independents in Celery Town too.

Oh very dear. Lacklustre film reviews isn't holding the audience.

There's been loads of deactivations and people moving to Bluesky since Musk sent that "civil war is inevitable" post, but proportionately she seems to be losing more followers than people she's following?

I'm not a statistical frau so I'm not sure I can explain what I mean, but if it was purely about deactivations, and, let's say, she was losing 0.5% of her followers a day due to deactivations, wouldn't there be a roughly corresponding 0.5% loss on the following side? But the loss on the followers side is much higher than on the following side so people are actively unfollowing her, it's not just people deleting their accounts?

Having a good old chortle about an act of terrorism, then bragging about it on social media, seems somewhat insensitive especially now.

And Jack is too thick to understand the bleeding obvious themes in Longlegs, that were certainly not camp.

I think it is more likely the type of people who follow Jack are more likely to deactivate their accounts following Musk's latest attempt to end xtwitter.

And considering this, it makes her showing off about laughing at an act of terrorism even more stupid.

Despicable me 4 was shite. I took my kids as i got vouchers given to me and they liked all the others, it was soooo bad! I sometimes wonder why movie makers flog a horse until its dies and just ruin a once good thing! Looking forward to wicked tho, i read all of gregory maguires books. They are fab!
Unfortunately Despicable Me is now the highest grossing animated franchise in history, it's made billions. They will milk it as long as it does. The reason they do this instead of original ideas is the same principle they've made Wicked using: as it is a pre-existing IP it has a 'pre-sold audience' at the box office.

Even something original like Longlegs is written by the director and got Nicholas Cage in, I doubt it would have been quite as busy at the cinema if it was a lesser known actor in that part.

I learned this trying and failing to sell my original spec screenplays :ROFLMAO:

It also shows her how friendless she is. I have a family member, i dont live near and he struggles to make friends. He has one friend he has had since school and he has a cinema subscription that he uses as an excuse to go out, orherwise he rattles around his house on his own all of the time, as his friend is normally at work or with his partner.

I honestly think sb moved out and she raged and blamed trolls for seperating her family as it was the only way she could understand why he would do such a thing and everyone else is BUSY she has found herself very alone and the cinema trips are her only excuse to go out for the night. I think other than that she floats around the shithole like moaning myrtle.

Totally agree with this. Unfortunately for Jack, those people leaving are also the very types who have been bankrolling her for the past decade.
