Despicable me 4 was shite. I took my kids as i got vouchers given to me and they liked all the others, it was soooo bad! I sometimes wonder why movie makers flog a horse until its dies and just ruin a once good thing! Looking forward to wicked tho, i read all of gregory maguires books. They are fab!

"We all" duck OFF
"I'm so edgy for laughing at a joke" duck OFF

Also this was a surprise screening. Cineworld also did it as a surprise screening. It was not packed out because everyone wanted to see Kneecap, you bleeping moron. It was packed out cos everyone was hoping it would be Alien Romulus. dgmw I'm glad to have seen Kneecap but I didn't go in the hope that that was what it would be

her opinions have been irritating mecall day, too. Let's have a look

Twisters is actually really, really good, but not because it makes you want to be a meteorologist/storm chaser/ engineer. It's really good because it's well written for once and because the performances are great and because Glen Powell is fantastic and I love him

"Graphs" duck OFF
"Impulsively" duck OFF. these people dedicate their lives to this stuff you idiot

Despicable me was fine but as always just cod minions are funny and there's a lot of pratfalls

Longlegs was not the instant classic I was wanting, and most of the reason for that was cage. She's an idiot

I didn't see Nye because although I love Michael Sheen I'm kind of fed up of seeing him play real people. Also I believe it was one of those NT live performances, not a film, you bleeping thick twit

Also I suspect she's just doing this "ken loach based all his films on me" thing again here. Oh it's about Bevan so I have to go on and on about it to show how Left I am

Deadpool & Wolverine is also very good. I gotta give her that.

I really hate how she skin walks stuff we love and soils it in the process.

After her dire roasties and subsequent witch fit, you'd think she'd avoid bringing any more attention back to her and potatoes.

(Also, Irish people joke about the famine because the whole bleeping country's population still hasn't recovered from its level at the time. Even with all that "hateful" immigration 🙄).

Especially when so many of the "independent" cinemas are ultimately owned by one of the big companies, anyway - see the fake independent Picturehouse mini-chain in London which is now ultimately owned by the same people as Cineworld, only with worse (much worse) pay & conditions for their staff.

Saying that, I grew up down the road from the magnificent Strand in Belfast, and then spent several years living beside the Hyde Park Picture House in Leeds - both were cheap and brilliant, and are owned and operated by charities. So if you're lucky enough to have one nearby, do use them!
I think we may have been neighbours not once but twice, dear Lucky E. (I was once an East Belfast girl and then lived in the Harolds, L6! 🍉)

A guy at work years ago said “Yeah you can probably tell I’m a bit of a film buff mate”. Turned out he was only interested in recent Hollywood movies what had soldiers in them 🫡
Anyway, getting a lot of Big Andy energy off Jack absolutely adoring every film she’s seen at the Odeon this month.

I'll stop posting now but while looking at her replies, cos she's deleted so much this was right there and made me bark laugh uncontrollably, wheezing and clutching my sides chuckle mildly

imagine being so sheltered in the ways of the guest that you think people don't say that stuff about her on an hourly basis. I expect poor grass squig was hoping to be summonsed to court by lawyer pal and thanked profusely by guest. how will she ever know what people are saying about here without you

She's telling on herself massively with all this cinema nonsense. Basically, she has enough free time to see a lot of movies in the school holidays with no sign of her teenage kid in her day-to-day life. And the no TV, no Netflix liar also has the disposable income to pay for a cinema subscription and the regular transport fares to and from the multiplex. Much poverty, much single mothering, eh?

I could not be less interested to know her opinions on this season's blockbusters.

Her writing sounds like the most tired Hollywood movie review tripe. Like an AI movie review, frankly, if one asked AI to write it in the style of a poor woman's Hedda Hopper. Tired of seeing sassy/sassier/sassiest.

Also IME most regions have a film society or something similar, run by film lovers and that screen independent or overseas films that won't get anywhere near the chains. It may take a bit of Googling to find them, but they're out there.
