One thing does occur to me. One of the big selling points in her getting the Currys gig would have been her huge social following. It’s over, what, 800k across X and Instagram? But she hasn’t promoted the campaign all? She may have invalidated her contract. It would be terrible if she had to return her fee, wouldn’t it?

Yes, and the contract would have stated that she had to promote it. I only know this because my kid was an 'influencer' on Insta 🍉 and when he partnered with a brand he had to promote it x amount of times every couple of days at the very least.

How does payment work for this kind of gig though? I have no idea. When I've worked freelance on projects, there's usually a contract specifiying payments at intervals, tied to delivery of work at various stages, with a final payment once it's done and everyone's signed it off.

I would've thought Jack would put her full fee at risk if she did such a half-arsed job that they didn't even cook the "recipes" to be photographed. And if she jeopardised the terms of the contract by being underprepared and useless, that would negatively impact Agent Adrian's cut too. Not a happy thing for anyone, surely?

She’s younger than me too, by more than ten years but even if she was actually 42 I still look younger than her 😂😂. By some miracle I don’t have crows feet. I see the tiniest hint of lines beginning but I think their absence is why people think I’m a lot younger than I am.
ETA wouldn’t normally brag about appearance but it’s twatroe so she can duck off 🤣

Unless Jack had it written into her contract that she was off social media because of her bad mentals / ebil trolls? Which would make it pointless for Currys to use her, I s'pose.

Absolutely. She’s in for a shock because once you hit the mid-30s, if you don’t take care of yourself it really shows. You can generally get away with it when you’re younger. Smoking in particular will age you like an absolute bastard and she’s got proper smokers hands.

Mediterranean women tend to age well too so she must be really treating her body like crap.

Yes, it’s agreed with the influencer - x amount of reels/stories/posts etc., even down to the timings to the date and time if you’re working with several at once. IME, they invoice when the work has been completed and scheduled. She’s done stuff all. MSL would be within their rights to withhold payment, certainly for those parts of the agreement.

She has in the past done excellent work with other businesses, Debenhams, Paperchase, Wilko's , Woolworths to name a few.
I believe there is a lovely picture somewhere of her collaboration with Blockbuster video where she is precariously positioned on a TV stand with just popcorn to cover her modesty.

I’m not sure having one Mediterranean grandparent vs 3 generic British ones would help much.

I also doubt she had a contract where she had to promote on socials. The last one of those was Linda Mc’s, they had to get professional photographers and SM people in AND drop the campaign.

Aah, but if they were aware of the Linda McCartney campaign, that would mean that MSL actually did some research on her. And as we know, they haven’t even done the modicum of looking into her background, or they wouldn’t have booked her in the first place. If the target for the campaign was audiences interested in 1. Home cooking and 2. Saving money, on paper she looks the perfect fit, and she has access to over 700k of them. That’s better than you would get with a national radio campaign, for less spend. The slightest bit of curiosity, however, would have revealed that she is actually marketing poison.
