Yes! I knew @Captainmouse brought us 🦉 🍾 for hooting and fizzing (Cabal history right here ) but I’ve just found that it came from us all dealing with the aftermath of Orphy B’s “bread”!

Voted. That was tough. I chose pens in a pocket selfie because that had me 🦉 🍾 for hours. It was a close call between that one, dib dab and Rish mate.

Despite the fact she had a social media break, she’s still had quite the year!
Really looking forward to The Sloppies. I’ll wear Viv, it’s what she would have wanted*

Love looking back through the year, sometimes I just pick a random old Jack thread, sort posts by most liked and have a little trip down memory lane and a good laugh! I had a quick look back through #184 Jack Monroe's Big Book of Boak today and it's such a good'un - you've got "Jack as Bowls" trend started by BlendedSlop, the origin of "Russell Brands" from Sideboard Bob - as well as the infamous Del Monte salad and the thread's hilarious reaction to it's portion size of "serves 0" and the 4 day pickled beans. I'll stick some screenshots below for nostalgia

I researched a cappella the way Jack does her extensive forensic scientific research (googling). Yeah, no, a cappella does mean layered voices. One can be solo, if recorded layers are mixed. Merely singing in a hotel bathroom without instruments is called "singing in the bathroom". I wish Jack had played a triangle 🔺️

(This video was new to me, I'm sure I've said nothing original)

These videos are so awks.
i probably said at the time, I hate public speaking with a passion, it even includes me being in a group of friends or colleagues or even family and everyone looking at me if I speak, so I think I'm extra sensitive to jacks wavering voice and close to tears presentation.
If I'd recorded something like that I would be absolutely mortified if I thought people would see it and hear my cryvoice.
Why does she think that's comfortable viewing for anyone?
Does she not realise people are being nice because they feel sorry for her?
Also the live cooking segments, just abysmal. Hilarious in places, in this landslide video her legs look like a cartoon drawing added on to her body, quite mesmerising after a night of no sleep.

Bloody single mum writer poverty campaigner accidental conqueror of fears my arse.

Eta: why is she even doing singing videos? Because she asked twitter and they said yes?! She's grimacing in the intro and making whingeing moaning noises, she's not a singer, it's not like she has to sing for her supper, there's no contractual obligation and nobody in the world is asking her to sing on video and upload it to YouTube, if it's so difficult why do it

The Sloppies...duck me, a year is a lifetime in Jack land. It's particularly mad considering she spent a good part of 2021 heavily limiting her social media, and we still have so many nominations!

How can any one person provide so much content?! Just think for a minute about your own lives - I have done so few chaoses this year, I may have to start tweeting crying selfies at politicians to make up for it.
