We have a lot of stuff to a charity shop when we moved and gift aided it. About a year later I got a lovely letter saying how much they’d made and how much gift aid they’d been able to get back. Was a tidy sum! So well worth it.

I used to be the manager of a charity shop () and I wish mine had been like that!
My volunteers decided processing Gift Aid stock was too much effort and would ~ conveniently ~ claim the labels had ripped off and they had to do them without. Our gift aid conversion rate target went to tit.

I feel like a dick now because I believed the story with the Xmas elfling. Tbf I had based my belief on one or two people I know who are very jack like irl. One in particular who is the biggest grifter and most self serving dishonest person I've ever had the displeasure to work with but whoo at the same time listens intently to everything people say and then surprise them with a really unexpected and very personal gift. Always a real surprise because they aren't really that nice a person

I also get a letter thanking me for my donation and telling me how much money I made them. It also makes me sort my stuff properly and only donate decent sellable stuff...I figure they have my address and worry that they will dump anything rubbish back on my doorstep!

I managed to narrow it down to two faves (Ant and Dec and Cliff) and just couldn’t pick my ultimate so did ‘ip dip dog tit you are not it’ and Cliff was a very worthy winner
