Poor things not having their emotional abuse tactics taken seriously.
I loathe the weaponisation of mental health. I've seen friends and family members trying to deal with abusive if you leave me I'll kill myself. It is sick.
It also perpetuates a narrative - that was showcased by that grossly irresponsible book/series 13 Reasons Why - that suicide is someone else's fault. People like to look for logic, I get that, but suicide is not a simple case of cause and effect, as it is so often portrayed in the media.
By the way, I say this as someone who lost a family member to suicide. It was years ago now, and I don't say this to ask for sympathy. After a suicide, our natural reaction is to blame ourselves and say "if only I'd done X." My entire family did that for a very long time, and it is deeply unhealthy and just plain wrong. Suicide is complex and almost impossible to understand, and should never be used as a weapon or a threat.
She seems to have skipped a part of her twenties, the bit where one experiences emotional growth and starts to become more responsible and aware, especially with her status as a parent.
@Alansbigplate my favourite ever reface artist who I rarely (everyfuckingmonth) ask for anything....will send you a thousand
I find the ‘I miss you’ comment really, really sad (in the genuine sense of the word) There must be a real lack of engagement in her real life.
she was ‘away’ for how long? 24 hours?
Because she never has a decent argument, she just shouts. I've seen so many well articulated, non racist, comments about 'that' interview, only for people to immediately ignore every single point being made and just scream 'racist' at the commenter. It's such a cop out way to try and score points. Who can yell the loudest without using their brains? Boring!View attachment 475696 q
Retweeting this today. Why is she so mortifyingly cringey when she has a "cause"?
She really is. Her parents are only mid/late 50s too, so not that old really.Me and Mr Slop have some of the same people on facebook, friends of the family who added us.
My mam is a lovely person and although technically a boomer, she does not engage in boomer behaviour. A couple of these friends do however display peak boomerism. One in particular will post a picture of something racist or misogynistic with the comment "Yep".
I've muted this perseon but my partner will still shout across the room, "There's been another Yep, come and see!". We've reported and got them muted multiple times and they can't work out who's doing it.
Overall take: Jack is such a weird amalgamation of teenager and boomer mentally.

True, however people in the services can often come across in that "Boomer" Queen and Country way, whatever their age, so it could be that!Because she never has a decent argument, she just shouts.
