Last year sometime. It's a murder mystery superficially, but is mainly about social media manipulation.

Robbie Coltrane has made some comments in support of JK Rowling.


He told the Radio Times: “I don’t think what she said was offensive really. I don’t know why but there’s a whole Twitter generation of people who hang around waiting to be offended.

“They wouldn’t have won the war, would they? That’s me talking like a grumpy old man, but you just think, ‘Oh, get over yourself. Wise up, stand up straight and carry on.’”

Cracker star Coltrane, 70, said he did not want to go further because, “I don’t want to get involved in all of that because of all the hate mail and all that s***, which I don’t need at my time of life”.

I must say it is welcome that he’s spoken about it, as so many shy away from the matter. Especially welcome that he mentions he doesn’t want to comment further because of the hate mail. But as he says (and mentioning ‘the war’ will have done this’) he comes across a little as an ‘old man’ that doesn’t ‘get it’ - but he does, and he’s right that they’re all there on Twitter waiting to be offended and that saying anything further you be met with the foulest hate mail and death threats like Jo.

Only two days ago the Twitter lot were sharing this!

well if an asian child from china gets adopted by white brits in britain he's going to be british but asian/chinese ethnically. In france we're all french even those who aren't white, most people in that situation I've met say I'm french/brit etc.. with a different ethnicity.

Such a joke. The fact they are openly admitting they haven't read the book will hopefully be enough for goodreads to remove some of them. I love goodreads and don't want the wokerati taking over that platform

I couldn't find the option anywhere and trust me I looked!! Might raise a support request as they are pretty good at replying and their customer service is second to none.
