Have seen TedxLondon are trying to push the womxn spelling. Some commenters saying let women keep their name and stop diminishing women, and of course the transphobe label is being banded about to all who question the womxn spelling.

I understand the need to be kind and include where possible but society should imo accept 'transwomen' as the indentity label, rather than try to make approx half the population confirm to a new name/identity to appease a small minority. You wouldn't insist that men should now be called mxn would you now?! Look how cross men get when scientists try to consider male hormonal contraceptions... They immediately clap back!

I hope this is the angle people continue to push, to show the hypocrisy and bizarreness of it all.
Sadly, I think the tactic of asking for fairness/explaining how women feel isn’t working.
It’s going to be getting men on side that turns the tide. (Playing damsels in distress doesn’t thrill me in the slightest, but things are feeling pretty desperate for women’s rights atm!)

It’s funny how fringe complaints on Twitter from people who never bothered to go through the process of making a formal complaint have more weight to them than the 150+ formal complaints about the posters removal.

Seems like someone at network rail got a bee in their bonnet over it in my opinion.

Doesn't seem to be enough for them!!! She needs to feel their wrath!!! They're so angry!!!

My only issue is her new book, which seems to have triggered this, is about a cis man who dresses as a transgender woman to kill their victims. This has been done to death. Why not make it a cis woman who dresses as a transgender man to kill???

I mean perhaps it wasn't the best idea for JK to use adopting a transgender appearance to commit crime in a book when a lot of people dislike her but...I haven't read the book so perhaps everything is blown out of proportion. I dunno.

Screenshots to show at least one blue ticker standing up for JK against the torrent of comments against her.
 
The word "cis" needs to die a death. Regarding the new book, is it a man who dresses up as a woman, I.E cross dresses? Or is it a man who pretends to be a trans woman?

Edit: just looked it up and it's in relation to a cross dresser. This is the problem when you set the bar for "trans" so low

Agreed, have just seen it is about a transvestite. Half tempted to give her Strike series a try actually, I haven't read her non HP stuff.

I do think I'm going to have to come off twitter soon, it's an absolute cess pit of woke wannabe professors of perfection who like to tear people down. Disgusting to see.
