With a sly glint in her eye, Mrs. Gruffudd decided to run for the position of treasurer. She believed that by controlling the Women’s Institute’s finances, she could funnel money from Evil HQ through the organization, disguising its origins and making her secretive operations appear more legitimate than they were.

Mrs. Rhys, however, had no knowledge of Mrs. Gruffudd’s ulterior motives. She, too, was eager to become treasurer, believing she could bring transparency and financial stability to the Women’s Institute.

The day of the Women’s Institute meeting arrived, and the members gathered in the cosy meeting room, their teacups filled with fragrant brews. The atmosphere was charged with anticipation as the time for the treasurer election neared.

Mrs. Gruffudd and Mrs. Rhys both presented their qualifications and visions for the role, each pledging their commitment to the organization. Unbeknownst to Mrs. Rhys, Mrs. Gruffudd had crafted a convincing façade, portraying herself as the ideal candidate.

When the time came to vote, the members of the Women’s Institute were faced with a difficult decision. Some were swayed by Mrs. Gruffudd’s eloquence, while others remained loyal to Mrs. Rhys, who had been an active member for many years.

In the end, the vote was incredibly close, but Mrs. Gruffudd emerged victorious, narrowly securing the position of treasurer. As she accepted her new role with a triumphant smile, she had no idea that the Women’s Institute would soon become embroiled in a scandal she could not control.

Mrs. Rhys, though disappointed, remained a dedicated member of the Women’s Institute. As time passed, she began to notice irregularities in the organization’s finances, leading her to suspect that something was amiss with their new treasurer.

Little did she know that her investigation into the Women’s Institute’s funds would uncover a web of deceit and illicit financial activities, all connected to Evil HQ and Mrs. Gruffudd’s secret agenda. The rivalry between the two mothers was about to take an unexpected turn, leading them down a path neither could have foreseen, where the secrets of Evil HQ would threaten to unravel everything.

this is what makes KingSeven’s chapters so beautiful! As well as being utterly delightful and well-written (mate if you don’t already make a bucketload of cash writing cosy mysteries you should!), a random unconnected person has literally put more time and energy and thought into this threatened book than Alice ever will.

I for one am DESPERATE to continue reading!

So Ma Gruff was still sore that Ma Rhys had better marrows?? What I really want to know is who makes better Welsh cakes? There needs to be a Welsh bake off "The Battle of the Mams".

There is no question about who made the best welshcakes. My late mother in law did, no argement. She also made a lovely bara brith, and her roast lamb , Welsh lamb of course, was the stuff of legend.

Talking of F1, you know I love you Welp, but I fear we are rivals when it comes to F1 🙈.
I've been a huge fan since the late 80s and am kinda jealous that you are 100% going to more races than me!
Back on topic, I wonder if there has been a date set for the first meeting with Dr D? I doubt we'll know much about it, apart from the outcome in terms of custody; as, as it should be the documents will be sealed due to it involving minors.

I’m just loving reading these instalments, they are brilliant, and so funny ❤️👏❤️👏❤️
 
So let me get this right as per Alice.
She makes her children attack and assault Bianca and Ioan, they then abuse people on the street and Ella fakes her injuries.
They file a RO based on this, Ioan has more evidence of what actually happened despite him having no idea it was going to happen, he presents his evidence in court.
The judge realises Ella lied and possibly faked her injuries, reminded her and Alice that she had no representation because they didn't get any, Ioan and Bianca have representatives because child abuse is a serious claim and they were able to prove their innocence.
The RO is rejected, Ella starts her crocodile tears in and outside the court as part of her ever growing bratty performance, their plan fails, yet this is Ioan's fault?
Ioan is a bad dad for defending himself against a child absue claim and having the audacity to provide evidence that he is innocent.
Did I get this right?

No you are correct however from what I remember reading, she along with Ella were running down the street flipping the bird at people (Iris included) and laughing.

I believe the first meeting with Dr. Dupee was mentioned in one of the court filings. I'll go through them and post it if I find it.

What the hell is Lin doing? Has she learnt nothing? I had started feeling sorry for her as she was clearly taken in by mAlice but here she is sharing private conversations between her, I & B. FFS! I & B have kept their hands clean throughout by not commenting on any of the tit mAlice pulls and here's Lin quoting from a private message she says they sent her. She just can't bleeping help herself 🤬

I will, something has defo gone on not too far away, searching the news but nothing yet. Given that escaped convict (non UK ppl, a terror suspect escaped from prison on weds (they caught him Saturday) the whole of London as usual is on high alert!) It was just down the road from me 😳
