Just found this thread...why do I feel Ryan will die as the final nail in the coffin to hate Catherine? 6 days till the final and I on edge already!
P.s I have binged from season 1 in 2 days! My children or fella haven't seen me I think they may report me as missing. It's all Sally's fault!!!
---

P.s.s why do I fancy TLR hahaha
---

Hid looks not his character obvs!
Do you mean Tommy Lee Royce or The Lone Ranger?

This thread is multi-faceted!

When the pharmacist killed the PE teacher's wife, we saw her phone on the floor.
I thought it was a smartphone.
The police were discussing her phone and said it was so old she would only be able to call or text on it.

Who has her smartphone? The pharmacist or the husband?
Oh yea. That’s so weird!! Good catch! I missed that altogether!! But there were texts and calls on it..? Or is that just to her sim I guess they can’t tell specifically which phone she was using?

That would be quite a twist - albeit a really bad one. Maybe TLR didn't rape Becky at all and Catherine's actually the one somewhat responsible for her daughter taking her own life (them having a huge row or something) and has been riddled with guilt ever since, hence the panic attacks and hallucinations. And she blames TLR because it's easier than dealing with her own guilt or something idk

Like I said, a really bad twist and surely Sally Wainwright wouldn't do this to us 🤞😂
That was kind of her theory that TLR was a horror to Becky but it was something Catherine did that drove her to suicide but she's convinced herself otherwise over the years. Explaining why TLR has such a deep hatred for her as well. Also like the theory the brother is also somehow involved in all of it. I'm not convinced that they would make that the twist like but when she said it it did get me thinking 🤔 roll on Sunday 9pm 😁 I'm loving everyone picking up on the minor details on here, I'm useless at spotting them!

I thought it odd when he went to this mothers to see his daughters he said 'are they in bed' and she said 'no, they're in there'. One had her pyjamas and dressing gown on and of course the younger one had her coat on as usual. Surely the Grandma would have had her take it off and put her dressing gown on?
She won't take her coat off though that's been hinted at before so I don't think she would if her Grandma asked

There is no way the police wouldn’t of followed Darius when he picked up TLC.
He said in the van they were watching his house, surely they will know where he’s hiding out ?

He mentioned to Tommy he hid in his wife's boot of her car as they have no interest in her and don't follow her

Also I love your typo of TLR to TLC 🤣 there's plenty on this thread who'd love to give Tommy some TLC!

Not even not interested in Darius's wife, not enough resource! Which rings true because surely they could spare one big copper to accompany Catherine around. Not that I don't think TLR would be deterred especially if armed and he relies on striking first with shocking violence but still seems like a good idea having her escorted.

At the end of season two Catherine was wobbling about whether Ryan is genetically like his dad or not - I can’t remember exactly what she said but they were up on the moors. He acted out a lot in the second series and you could see she was challenged by his behaviour. The ending I need is that Catherine sees that Ryan is a good kid through nurture and not nature (appreciate he’s been dealt some rough cards) that for all the challenges they face as a family he’s turned out alright! I need Catherine and Ryan to be Ok! (Still haven’t watched last nights episode - must stay strong for a double whammy next week)

Maybe the old man will tell Darius TLR has been on the XBox potentially giving away his location! And maybe the beetroot is involved somehow. That was SO random.

I think the beetroot was symbolic.

Has no one thought that TLR will rape Darius’s wife?

I think the beetroot was symbolic.

I remember in English Literature lessons at school having the symbolism in Tess of the D'Urbevilles hammered into us.

Tess was like a lamb to the slaughter and red was always a symbol of her impending doom.
A red ribbon in her hair, her being given ripe strawberries by the villain etc.

Red red, red, red - all the damn time.
Just let me read the book, already!!!

Anyway, that red stuff symbolism came right back into my head when the old dude was chopping beets.
That chattering chimp in my mind said, "red symbolism, red symbolism! If it wasnt symbolism he'd have been cutting carrots or celery."

Fecking chimp.
