Tess was like a lamb to the slaughter and red was always a symbol of her impending doom.
A red ribbon in her hair, her being given ripe strawberries by the villain etc.

Anyway, that red stuff symbolism came right back into my head when the old dude was chopping beets.

Red always indicted danger in Breaking Bad too.
 
I've been sorting out stuff. I've been copying every CD I own onto a hard drive so I can de clutter.
That meant I can move some DVDs to an easier to find position.
While I've been doing all this I found stuff I haven't seen for ages.
One is the box set of The Wire and all of The Bridge.

Might watch those two again.
Or I might just watch all of Happy Valley again in time for Sunday.

Maybe TLR didn't rape Becky at all and Catherine's actually the one somewhat responsible for her daughter taking her own life (them having a huge row or something) and has been riddled with guilt ever since, hence the panic attacks and hallucinations. And she blames TLR because it's easier than dealing with her own guilt or something idk

Like I said, a really bad twist and surely Sally Wainwright wouldn't do this to us 🤞😂

I think this might be right- in the first series Catherine said her daughter was raped, TLR has consistently said he loved her to Ryan. The son sorry can’t remember his name, when he kicked off at Catherine (again in the first series) said something like Becky deserved it?? It sounded like he tried his best to be a ‘good’ child & Becky did what she wanted but was ? The favourite? 🤔
