Oh a couple of us did comment on that and the total loss of his sex appeal in those scenes! Very needy and desperate to impress Ryan.
I think I missed a page 😂 was it desperate to impress Ryan specifically tho, or was it just desperate to talk about himself and know that other people are talking about him and impressed by him generally? He’s a very unnerving character.
On another note, I think it’s a very good point re the old boy. He’s not what he seems, huge sense of foreboding watching him chop, chop, chop those beetroots. I think he’ll do over TLR in some way, probably to stop his getaway as mentioned, so then TLR is caught on the hop, he gets in Alison’s truck, he can’t drive it, he’s stuck and Catherine gets him that way, with the help of Ryan who sees right through him. Then they drive off the Himalayas after his exams in May.

BIB: He was asking Ryan "did you see my escape? Did you think it was cool?" or words to thar effect. So I think he very much did want to know Ryan was impressed. But TLR is a narcissist so would also love to know others are talking about him.

I think we’re all so used to how convoluted line of duty was, we expect the same again. Some interesting predictions on here but lots are very improbable with only one episode to tie things up in.
Im hoping for TLR to die, Catherine in her car in the Himalayas. Her and Claire on talking terms at least. Ryan safe and sound. I do think Richard is toast and I’m intrigued at how the teacher and pharmacist tie in - love a programme brings us all together!

Did anyone else notice that when TLR was asking the old guy in the house for a phone, he said "tomorrow morning grandad, telefoam" ???
I did, made me chuckle 😂 They couldn't be arsed reshooting it or Wainwright quite liked it. He was also so rude to gangsta grandad that he won't have taken kindly to it. I'm surprised TLR didn't have more awareness that he probably isn't just some old dude.

Yes I expect you’re right. It was all just so embarrassing to watch 😬 plus I think the fact he was so clearly incapable with that particular technology was an interesting way of undermining him as a character.

Looked up the old fella’s name - Surroje.

I thought he said it like that as the old guy pronounced it like that? It made sense as to why he sort of took the piss the way he said it.

I think the fact he was incapable with the technology is why Ryan suggested they voice chat as then he probably recorded it. It's clear to me Ryan is setting him up.

It was so cringey. Made him seem so childlike.

I thought it was just me that heard that! 😂

Also felt a lot of pity for technophobe dad TLR asking 'Sure. How?' when Ryan suggested a voice chat 😂 I bet even Grandad Beetroot knows how to manage that!
Grandad Beetroot 😂😂 Love it.

So chuffed there is a thread for this! Gutted it's all over next week 😭 I've a friend who thinks it will turn out Catherine has been a bad egg this whole time but I refuse to believe it. I do think it won't be a happy ending though, Ryan chooses TLR & Claire is curtains is my prediction. (Based on no evidence, just a guess!)

That would be quite a twist - albeit a really bad one. Maybe TLR didn't rape Becky at all and Catherine's actually the one somewhat responsible for her daughter taking her own life (them having a huge row or something) and has been riddled with guilt ever since, hence the panic attacks and hallucinations. And she blames TLR because it's easier than dealing with her own guilt or something idk

Like I said, a really bad twist and surely Sally Wainwright wouldn't do this to us 🤞😂

I think Tommy will die.
I think he will end up in a rooftop situation where he needs Ryan to grab his hand to save him from falling, but Ryan let's him go.

Or Sally Wainwright might not give us a happy ending and have Ryan get killed.
---

I just saw that as a symbol of bloodshed to come.
Why red beets? Red for blood.

I dont what what nationality the Kznezivicis are (cant even spell their name), but beetroot soup (borscht?) is popular with Polish people and other eastern Euorpeans. . But yes, it doesnt hurt that it's red :) they'll both be peeing red after eating all that.

I’m just listening to latest Shrine podcast and they’re speaking to the director of the final 3 episodes. He says (6:15 mins in) that Sally‘s written one ending, she didn’t write multiple ones and that only those who are part of the ending had access to the script. So that’s different to what Amit Shah said, he said they‘d filmed four different endings. Maybe they’re just telling the cast not to potentially leak anything, so just to use the line that nobody knows how it ends🤷🏼‍♀️

I thought he was mocking the old fella too. Big mistake. Big. Huge. (With apologies to Julia Roberts!)

Just found this thread...why do I feel Ryan will die as the final nail in the coffin to hate Catherine? 6 days till the final and I on edge already!
P.s I have binged from season 1 in 2 days! My children or fella haven't seen me I think they may report me as missing. It's all Sally's fault!!!

P.s.s why do I fancy TLR hahaha

Hid looks not his character obvs!

I think the brother is in the middle of all that ...something off about him.
