I can't listen to them. They weren't always that tiresome, I think, from watching older series/ repeats.

I think they do something like tell a funny story about an aunt and they get some social media comments about how funny it is and think oh we’ll ramp that up and people will think we’re hilarious rather than realising that some things are funny but doing it to the max every episode is annoying.

I saw Ellie getting snarky recently with someone who said something mildly critical of them on Instagram.
Must be more used to being told that she is hilarious, I guess.

The absolute cheek of it. He's had over a decade of fame so will have done well from personal appearances, media interviews, media work such as Big Brother and promoting things on social media. He's also been in a well paid day job. There should be more than enough money around to cover his own funeral.

Can't stand people expecting famous folk to have their stuff paid for by the public.

If their aunts are real I’m surprised they still see them! If people were having (less than favourable) conversations about me on national tv every week I’d stop seeing them so they didn’t have anything to say!

Also wish they’d stop repeating words over and over in the conversation. Eg

It's like watching 2 braincells navigate a conversation for the first time. The one on the lefts voice was all grizzly again it really annoys me lol CLEAR YOUR THROAT. It's like it's gurgling.

The one on the right does this weird thing where she looks above the other ones head when she speaks? I might have said this before. And the way they finish each others sentences but both continue to speak.

Back in the day the Goggleboxers didn't get anything other than a take away. Big Brother was the only thing he did and that was 2014. He's had a load of legal problems and jail. I doubt he had any money other than his regular wage.

This will probably piss of the royalists on tattle but I don't care. Yes, it is sad that Kate has cancer but people are diagnosed and suffer with it everyday. They also don't have access to the best private healthcare in the WORLD (doctors, surgeons, nutritionists). Nor can all of them take time off work, not worry about waiting lists, money or keeping roofs over their heads, nor be resting in the most beautiful places in the world in peace.

Watching them cry like that just because she's a royal is so bizzare. And saying "shes still thinking of others" she didn't write this herself and she has to say that because of how strange the public is.

She deserves peace and recovery but she is just a person like the rest of us - the world will be bending over backwards to make sure every ounce of care she recieves is the best you can find in the world.

Wow he is dead he was someone's son, dad etc
I have watched Googlebox from the start and yes he was the first to do reality TV but never got anywhere with it. He was working in supermarkets during covid. No one is perfect.

A regular wage is all the majority of us receive yet I wouldn’t expect others to pay for my/a loved ones funeral.
Sadly it seems to be the default setting of many these days.
Need money = go fund me.

Edit: just read that his friend who set it up actually works at the funeral directors!

I don't disagree. I wasn't supporting the fund raiser. I was commenting that George Gilbey was not 'famous'. It's the misconception that because you were on telly a couple of times years ago somehow you're loaded and set for life.

I was reading a sob story in the Mail. Family photo with obligatory sad faces and yes, a go fund me link at the end of the story.
I just hate this begging mentality that the internet has created.

People used to plan ahead and pay into funeral plans with companies like Co-Op Funeral Services so as to save their family the burden, but the funeral industry is full of cowboys now, people aren't willing to risk their money which might disappear. There is a desperate need for regulation and reform across the whole industry.

That said it's pretty grim that people are living day to day so hand to mouth that they don't have any savings or estate whatsoever that should be paying for it.

Sorry for your loss.
I think the funeral directors may need to liase directly with her bank because the accounts are usually frozen once the bank has been informed.
I’m not 100% though because my Dad had paid for a funeral plan up front.
Otherwise, if you have the funds to pay for it yourself, you should be reimbursed once probate has been granted provided there are funds in the estate.
Sorry you have this added stress in an already difficult time xx

My relative had an account with the Halifax bank and they paid up straight away what was in her bank account. Can't remember what proof we showed but we had the death certificate and the will and it was paid into the bank account of the person named in the will who got her "estate".
