He speaks a little bit more now than he used to. I used to be fascinated to see if he ever spoke. Helena usually makes some smartarse comment if he says anything so he probably finds it easier to stay fairly quiet.

She looks past him, most of the time unless it's to make a snarky comment to him, the odd time that he says anything.
I think she has tried occasionally to rein it in a bit - the nasty comments to him - but she hasn't succeeded.

she’s vile to george: so needlessly condescending and (while she hasn’t done it for a little while) used to continually bring up her mum’s previous partners in front of him. she seems to enjoy making him feel small, when he just seems like a nice quiet man. i wish he’d answer her back one of these days!

I remember him a few years after they left coming out and saying that he did actually speak and participate in the conversations all the time, but it just became a bit and producers edited it out every episode

it got me everytime tbh i’m sure sometimes they used to zoom in on his face, or pause on his expression like he was ABOUT to say something, and then cut away.

I'd say Rev Kate ... I think Scarlett's star is on the wane. She hasn't done anything for a while. Kate has a plumb position with the BBC. Hasn't she done some religious TV too?
