BBC are actually showing a replay of the fight. I only saw the very end of it but at least they're not hiding it away. Don't think they're going to say anything about the controversy though.

ETA They didn't mention anything about it. Just skimmed over it. Hamori was very sporting and shook hands and everything.

Ah. They did just before they showed it. It was pretty neutral though, just along the lines of “elsewhere, controversy continues over the gender of boxers, etc.”

I would love it if a commentator slipped up and referred to the “female” boxers as “he”

Suwannapheng got to the world champions last year all because Khelif failed the now famous IBA eligibility criteria so would expect they would have had the same tests

I don't want people to start accusing every masculine presenting woman of being a man now. That's not fair either. That's what the absence of sex testing leads to.

Thanks. I didn't see that part. I'm pleasantly surprised they're even addressing it.

Unless this is the conspiracy/corruption. They’ve tested some boxers and not others or ignored some results over others. But they can’t come out and say it because it exposes all of them. I don’t trust any of these sporting organisations. I trust my eyes.

Why was the ‘gender test’ on Khelif only completed after the semi final? Lin Yu Ting lost bronze after winning it. It’s not like the IBA tested all boxers before the championships started. Did they test all of them or just certain ones? Something dodgy going on and I don’t believe any of them! And all of it affects real women.

This man just beat a woman

Wonder if he also had a selection of brides lined up so he could pick the best one on the day?

Yep.
However if it does turn out that Janjaem Suwannapheng is a woman as opposed to a “woman” I’m fully prepared to eat humble pie.
