You're as cynical as I am. I like you. GB News fascinates me, as do some of the 'characters' they have on there. I must admit I don't find it as inherently evil as TalkTV ... just a little bit evil. :ROFLMAO:

According to Private Eye there was a big meeting a few weeks ago to remind 'the talent' about Ofcom regulations, Mark Steyn went off on one and called the compliance officer 'Ofcom's witch'. :LOL:

I feel awful for even suggesting it, but it just somehow rubs me up the wrong way. She's shilling clothes on IG now. And don't get me started on that alleged vicar Calvin. Something of the night about him, I reckon.

He had a proper little tantrum about it on Twitter. The channel's plan was to make him personally liable for any Ofcom fines, which I believe was to do with how his show was produced (Steyn and his crew produced it themselves and GB News bought it from him). He got angry about that and flounced off.

Stalking isn't something to be taken lightly of course but I know what you mean about Ellie. Lest we forget Alex Phillips and her 'revenge porn ordeal'. In my experience people who decide to try and carve-out a career in broadcast media usually have sharp elbows and are not exactly shrinking violets. But I digress and hope they are all happy and safe etc. etc.

Neil Oliver defended Steyn during his own show, giving a monologue about 'speaking truth to power' and how 'a slient war' was being waged by politicians attempting to 'take total control of the people' and impose a 'one-world government' ... blah blah blah. I guess it pays the bills. :rolleyes:

Well absolutely - that's why I was a bit wary about saying what I did. I am kind of jealous of some of these people in a way. I maybe would try and do the same as them if I lacked any sense of shame/weren't completely talentless.

I don't really know much about Bev or her views etc. What's her angle? I assumed she's like the rest of them, just wants to work in television so she'll spout any old nonsense (and possibly believe some of it).
 
She claims to be one of the first to challenge the government on lockdown and asks why was the virology ignored and the efficacy of the vaccine. Lockdown is her main usp. Saying it was all about control

I read that she had covid and I was thinking she must be bad to have been off for weeks. .I don't know how true that is. The sabbatical could be to hopefully get her back on track if she is suffering after affects. Take all that with a pitch of salt though but it could be a sort of open ended sabbatical depending how soon she is back to fitness again ..

I reckon she did a Kirsty Gallacher and thought 'stuff this, I'm off'. I wouldn't be surprised if Anne never appears on GBN again.

It's incredible how these people suddenly start believing they know more than scientists and doctors. I'm not saying that they are infallible but come on. It's almost psychotic ... does she believe that the vaccine has got a chip in it so 'they' can monitor our every move? :rolleyes: Anyway ... let's not not go down that bleeping rabbit-hole. :LOL:

These people often come up with the idea that the Jews control the worlds financial systems. My neighbour is jewish and I jokingly asked him if this was true and he replied 'F*** off, I can't even control my wife's credit card'.
 
Just watched a bit of Mogg ... words almost fail me. :rolleyes: I really cannot think of another person who is less similar to the type of viewer GB News hopes to attract. That probably sounds condescending, but not as condescending as Mogg.

Thanks, she's still shown in all the ads and titles but I'm not sure if that means anything.

I do wonder if it's been a bit of a shock to the system to go from retirement to a regular early slot. I'll remain hopeful that she'll be back soon.
 
I find it a bit rich that the guardian goes on about GB news looses, how long it it take them to stop loosing tens of millions of pounds a year? A decade?

Not that the model of GB news as a TV station will ever really be profitable. Although views on YouTube have doubled in a year, that'll pay 5% of their operating costs. But making money seems unlikely.
