I hate to admit it, but I quite like quark.RE pasta sauces I have one word that made them beyond inedible....
QUARK
I know some people made lasagna toppings blending up tinned macaroni cheese. But this was way back when it was really low syn.or blended cottage cheese.......
Anyone else remember (going back 20 years) when low fat corned beef was syn free on red days
So people were making corned beef pizza, corned beef base quiche etc
I still can’t get over the ‘Heinz tomato soup dupe’ which involved blending baked beans and pickled onions, among other things. Thankfully I never made it, but it sounds like the sort of thing you’d be made to drink as part of a booze-fuelled initiation ceremony.
Someone needs to plug it into Nutracheck. And the madness is that a decent tin of tomato soup would probably be less calories then this crazy concoction
204 calories for a tin of cream of tomatoSomeone needs to plug it into Nutracheck.
The healthy extra stuff definitely sticks with you. I still weigh 40g of porridge when calorie counting like its some sort of magic number. It was the carbs thing for me as well. In recovery I had to work really hard to get over the idea of having cereal for breakfast and then something on toast for lunch, for example. Yet those things keep me digestively comfortable and satisfied.

Right lets dissect this: so the premise is for 10 syns you can have so much more food for the same value if you 'food optimise' and pick low syn snacksUgh I used to eat that macaroni slop because I think it was 0.5 syns a can or something silly like that. It was just chemicals.
Anyone remember these posters from group? I can’t get a clearer image but they show what you can have for 10 syns. You can either have one mini Pringle tube or 20 - yes 20! Melba toasts. Why would you choose ten miserable dry crackers over a small portion of nice crisps? It’s such an awful mindset.

next the French Fries 2 bags for 10 syns and 156 calories so less than the pringlesView attachment 1947741 q
Then its the ryvitas 2 bags for 10 syns and 232 calories 12 calories more than the pringlesView attachment 1947743 q
The rest are all more calories than the pringles but equivalent or less syns

I really like Melba toast with pineapple cottage cheese on. And this is something I’ve enjoyed long before SW. I’ll let myself outI like Melba Toast. Just had some but with crushed pepper cream boursin
I sometimes do, but I got quite good at grabbing a handful and it being close so sometimes just do that. But then I’ll still do half milk and half water for them. The healthy extra stuff definitely sticks with you. I still weigh 40g of porridge when calorie counting like its some sort of magic number.
