Looking at their Insta, they both lost a few stone each but then gained four back between them. Their last post was in 2019 when they had a week saying they’d maintained. Their account is absolute madness. Just a sea of beige, except for an occasional portion of peas or a bit of pepper in a kebab fakeaway. I’m greedy as they come and couldn’t eat half of that.

I think I’ve actually found the stupidest slimming world recipe ever:

ETA I just found it, was putting in ‘and’ rather than ‘n’! 😂 Swear that’s a different profile pic, they do look a lot slimmer but odd that they haven’t posted if that is the case.
 
Love this thread! I joined SW when I was 24, with, admittedly not much weight to lose (truth be told if I'd just gone to the gym a bit more or did a couple of runs a week it would have sorted itself) I'd always eaten relatively healthily anyway and knew about calories in Vs out and I just *couldn't* get my head around the fact you could eat mountains of pasta and lose weight. So, I didn't really follow the plan and ate intuitively and guess what, my weight loss was S.L.O.W. One week when I had 'only' lost 1lb the consultant told me it was because I was having less of my cheese allowance per day and that if I wanted results I had to follow the plan properly and exercise less because 'muscle weighs more than fat'. How on earth can having less calories mean you won't lose as much weight, also, one pound of muscle weighs exactly the same as one pound of fat you silly bint, I thought to myself. I left in tears that week and never went back.

Five years later I thought I'd give it another go and threw myself fully into it. Full plates of pasta because 'it works' and it did, for a bit. Then one morning I craved avocado on toast for breakfast and nearly fell off my seat when I looked up how many syns. That's when it clicked that it's all bollocks.

I've not been 'on plan' for 4 years now and have stayed around the same weight, happy, healthy and not obsessed with food!

I follow Wearerebelfit on Instagram and this post just sums up how batshit crazy slimming world is!!

I hate to admit it but but some of their fakeaways looks quite nice….😬

They do. Although the packaging puts me off. Either they’ve gone to McDonalds a lot or they’re fishing them out the bin. I guess they reused them but that’s kind of rank as they’d be greasy.

Also what’s with the SW accounts obsession with costa? If they aren’t posting their costas they have mugs with their logo. It’s an awful coffee shop.

I hate Costa, the coffee is absolutely awful. I cannot fathom why people think it’s so amazing!
 
The food doesn’t look bad at all it’s just the pure gluttony of the portion sizes. Nobody needs that much food in one sitting. It makes you wonder what they were eating before they started trying to lose weight 😳

Really do wonder what happened to them 🤔

I know some of you are interested in whats happened to certain SW IG accounts and just to make some of you aware you perhaps aren't

Slimming world #5 is the thread where SW instas are more talked about.

When I made this thread I intended it to be more seperate from that one as in this thread about issues with the diet/plan side and slimming world #5 stay about issues with SW accounts on insta.
 
I’m doing calorie counting starting today. I’m nervous because I’ve really only lost weight previously using Slimming World, but I know with SW I essentially have to give up any sort of social life.

I still have some of it ingrained in me though, like I won’t have toast for breakfast because I want a sandwich for lunch and you can only have bread once a day on SW. Trying to unlearn that when you’re losing weight is HARD.

I will say though, I did calorie counting in my early 20s to lose a few pounds here and there and was successful. It’s only since I’ve done SW that I’ve felt that was the only way… but I also gained it back quicker than ever once I stopped because SW is all or nothing.

Good luck and happy to chat/share ideas! I would say if that’s a trigger for you, don’t have toast for brekkie (unless you want it!) change it up, that’s the beauty of CC. I rotate between weetabix, special k, a bagel with peanut butter, a protein shake, or yoghurt and fruit. Then you can design what you want for the rest of the day. Best trick for me has been pre-logging my meals for the day in MyFitnessPal so you don’t have to make the choices when you’re hungry and staring at the fridge.
 
Its the carb thing for me too. Cant have porridge for brekkie and bread at lunch. Still gets me everyday. I did Sliming world for years on and off, It never worked for me because I have PCOS and I cannot eat all that pasta etc They used to have a red plan that was aimed at people who were diabetic or had pcos and it was the only plan of theirs that worked and then they got rid of it.
Also another thing that I can't believe I did was use fromage frais or greek yoghurt in all my pasta sauces :sick:

RE pasta sauces I have one word that made them beyond inedible....
