Emmerdale #10

The only storyline I'm interested in right now is Queen Kim vs Ruby and Rose.

Jai and Laurel can duck off.

Don't care about Mandy's money problems. Vets get paid a massive salary, FFS Mandy just tell Paddy you're struggling. A fortnight's wages would end her debt. Stupid storyline.

I like Ella and Liam but this storyline isn't particularly interesting to me.

HATE the Belle and Tom saga. I know they've done their research properly but I feel stressed every time there's a scene featuring them. Not the sort of entertainment I'm looking for in a soap. I could watch The Shining or Fatal Attraction if I want to see that kind of psycho behaviour.
Plus we’ve had the hard up line with Bob where he ended up sleeping on a bench 👀

Pffffft...."Huge Emmerdale star".

James Chase is not a STAR. He was a voice over guy who got lucky landing his first acting role in a short term job on Emmerdale. Doubt very much we'll be seeing him at the Oscars or Golden Globes anytime soon. Star my arse.

They always do this.
Claim a legend or star is leaving, when it is nothing of the sort.

I'll put this in a spoiler because even though its about Emmerdale years ago, Im aware the classic episodes are being shown in the afternoons on itv 3 and people who have never watched that far back don't know this is coming -

Remember when the Kings built the new housing development and one of the houses exploded? The teasing headlines in the lead up were giving the number of 'characters' who would die. One of these 'well loved' characters turned out to be a bit part actor playing an Estate Agent!!!!! We'd barely noticed them.

He said on Lorraine he started acting at 12, local theatre groups? Anyway I agree I don’t think he’s going to be the next soap star to win a BAFTA.

and the fact he’s quit as if it’s some big deal and shock when his story arc has probably just come to it’s natural end and he was always going to leave at this time as it was a contract for a certain length of time

How can they drag this storyline out to Xmas 🤔
I've been wondering that. Perhaps Belle reaches breaking point and kills him in the next few weeks and then the rest of the year follows Belle being remanded in custody and the subsequent murder trial. Then the storyline culminates just before Christmas with Belle being found not guilty by reason of self defence or diminished responsibilty.

I haven't seen this suggested elsewhere, it's just my own musings.

Im hoping Cain just beats the crap out of him, not that I condone violence 🤣🤣

Same! I'd love to see that happen but I think it's too obvious. I'd like to think they'll be realistic and Tom get his come uppance through the criminal justice system, seeing as they've researched it properly and have a responsibility to any controlled/coerced/abused women watching to show them that they can get justice in these situations.

That said, this is Emmerdale. Lydia's rapist Craig got killed by a horse so anything is possible

I think there's a lot of the story left to run, annoyingly. Tom is making her family doubt her version of events.

It'll be Wendy or the support worker who finally makes the connection.

I'm hoping Charity is the one to do it.
I would like it to be her because I think it would help her get final closure on that policeman who controlled her as a kid (leading to the birth of Ryan etc etc)
