I’ve been so bored watching EE lately but stumbled across some clips of Emmerdale on YouTube and it looks so much better! Especially the parts with Meena! I’m thinking of making the switch from EE to Emmerdale as absolutely nothing draws me to EE anymore, I’m only watching out of habit 🤷‍♀️

Lol it makes me laugh how Kathy wouldn’t think about the attack affecting Ben, of course it would have brought back memories for Ben of him and Paul being attacked. Her heart was in the right place but her brain wasn’t 🤷‍♀️

it made me laugh too - the look of complete surprise on her face as she apparently only then worked that out. it’s not rocket science kathy! and then that whole bizarre scene at phil’s where no character was actually saying lines, they were all just reciting quotes about equality. i know it probably struck a chord with people, but pam’s reaction was the only true one to me because it seemed real and reactive from her character.

the show is so clunky in its writing at the moment - even the writers who are usually decent seem to be struggling. it’s odd.

Very odd Pam was the only one where her reaction seemed real to me, I think if EE doesn’t have a shakeup they are going to loose a lot more viewers. They thought putting it back on for 30 minutes would keep us all interested 🙄

I actually enjoyed Rocky been the most decent character for a while, not sure I find the scam believable as surely Sonia would of spoken with her mum and Dot and they would have known who Rocky was

Just because London is those things for you, doesn’t mean it’s like that for other people. You can acknowledge that it isn’t all it’s cracked up to be for some people while acknowledging that it’s a shame because it’s beautiful, cultural and diverse.

i like him a lot too! brian conley does have genuine screen presence/charisma and brings a lot to the character imo. but you’re right that the whole scam made no sense, surely the first thing sonia would have done would have been to phone carol (or at least bianca or someone!)

I don't understand what point you are trying to make. Of course there's some terrible poverty in London and nobody lives in a Utopia but there really aren't hate groups on every corner (particularly gay bashing/homophobia). Gang violence and turf wars over drugs is a more of a real problem.

EE portays life like a parochial village where everyone knows each other and people gossip in the local pub if someone is having an affair. If you walked in to your local pub in London and announced that your dad is a conman everyone would look the other way and wonder what's wrong with you😄
