he plays an amazing (and believable) drunk - it’s somehow funny and sad at the same time.

It is I mean I shouldn’t laugh but you are right it is funny and sad at the same time, I am glad with storylines like Phil’s alcoholism they did highlight it a few times.

Steve McFadden, for me, is the best actor in soaps at playing drunk

i miss him too! he’s another character that the show has always tried to replace and never managed to.

i love that his “while you’ve been sitting around doing NISH i was out making moves” scene has turned into a bit of meme. it makes me smile whenever i see it on twitter

i tell people that they’re “doing NISH” all the time and no one really gets the reference. the way he emphasises NISH is

he was a great character played by an amazing actor - i am forever sad they killed him
